Just startin out on the first race and gonna post my thoughs as I go, maybe if Dogfish can get here tonight, or anyone for that matter we can take a look at each others strategy and get out of this funk we've been in recently.

First race toss outs based on lack of speed are 2,4,9 will also toss the 6, poor trainer and mediocre jock at best, others certainly look better, toss the 8 as well, looks like this one has had plenty of shots and came up very short every time.

Leaves us with the 1,3,5,7, 10 be back.........

Somebody pounded the 10 early on and Dana Whitney, the last jockey I would trust with a borowed nickle is on him, but he has failed a big chalk 3 times already and doesn't look to have the speed of the others, toss him.

They're still betting the 10 horse in the first race, unless he is cranked and ready for some unapparant reason I have the 5 winning this race. I think he will be on or near the lead after 4f and have enough left to finish them off in the stretch.

5 looks like the play and MAYBE back it up with a 10-5 exacta simply based on the tote board action.

Bif, you playing/handicapping along? If so I'd like your plays as well as why you did or did not bet a horse, really trying to work out of this funk.

Bad news, Mark and Nancy, the on-track handicappers both picked the 5, so if he does win he'll be 5/2 at best.

Public still likes the 7 a bit, I just think this one has to go too fast too soon to finish strong enough.

Wow, when is this gonna stop, another one that spots the field 7 lengths out of the gate then mounts a charge to lose by 2 1/2
If I could only get a horse to break out of the gate.

Toss the 1,3,4,8 based on lack of speed.......

Toss the 9 as well, never competitive against bottom level claimers.

Leaves us with the 2,5,6,7,10

Looking hard at the 7, gotta be close at the turn though, hhmmm.

Best speed in the field comes from the 6, safe to toss out his last race as it was a mile on sloppy track, his 2 sprints were better than needed to beat this field, looks best to me.

Betting the 6, GET OUT OF THE GATE PLEASE!!!!
