Why in THE heck did the Padres not use Hoffman Wed?!?!?!? That under was home. Oh well. For a round ball, they sure bounce funny sometimes:shrug:
More IL. Great. I'll take a crack here, but it will be a shut-down until Monday if it craps out.
SF/Oak --- Jason Schmidt. Need we say more? His numbers since his first two starts are like Bob Gibson. I'd go over them, but suffice it to say , they look like Jennie Finch's senior year
ERA 1.17, WHIP around 0.75 (since 1-hitter vs. Cubs, 7 starts). He's a horse. SF playing .670 ball vs LHP. Zito has been squirrely this year and I know he's bound to wake up. A trip home might help a ton after getting bumped around in StL and Chi. Oakland now has some bullpen help as well. Leave it it to Billy Beane to stick his his nose in someone else's deal again! Gonna play 'em both here.........Giants -136, Under 7 -101
Hou/Tex -- Coattailin' Raymond here. Wasdin an unknown, but had a nice trip against the Marlins on the road. Miller has been dealin' it last 3 starts, but the Rangers are a little better on offense right now than Hou, even w/Beltran. I am staring at the total of 10. Seems high, but I smell a rat. Wrong team is favored to me. Texas has been the Boss at home this year, so I figure Rangers as a home dog cannot be passed up.....Tex +122
Mil/Minny ---- Obermuller is the one Brewer pitcher who has been roughed up consistently, including last trip at home against Minny. Can't back the ex-Hawkeye here either. Santana starting to get it going, albeit against the NYM, Expos and Brewers. Brewers are hitting even more poorly than usual lately, hanging only 8 runs against the Rockies starters (6 off of Jennings)Welcome to the Homer-Dome Wes, where the Twinks are 21-14 this year............Minny -1.5, +120
Crosstown Classic ---- No numbers here. I hate to say it, but my head and my gut are in the same spot today. That could mean I really know what I'm doing, or I have sh!t for brains. We'll see.......Cubbies -140
