YTD 69-53 (+1656)
Tues 1-3 (-214)
A couple for Wednesday:
ST. LOUIS CARDINALS -1.5 (+114) I don't like doing this, but I am going to make an exception and make this my first run line play of the year. Okay, so that said, just what in hell is going on here? The Pirates had the worst home record in the league entering this series (even worse than the Expos who would kill for a home), while the Cardinals easily boast the best road record in the majors. So, again, I repeat, just what in hell is going on here?? I am looking for things to return to "normal" and the Cardinals to come out swinging to avoid the sweep. Also, check out the career numbers of Matt Morris versus the Bucs.....He has only given up 15 ER in 77.2 IP. 77.2 IP! I think the Cards bats are also sitting on an offensive explosion after only scoring one run in 18 innings in Pittsburgh, and face Kip Wells, whom they hit pretty hard earlier in the year, and is sporting an ERA approaching 9 in his last three starts.
EXPOS / PHILLIES over 9.5 (-107) I hope I'm not a day late (and thus more than a dollar short) on this one, but the Phillies are absolutely tearing the cover off the ball and the Expos are actually putting some runs on the board as well (averaging 6.75 runs L4 games) and let's not forget the numbers that Devil Ray reject Paul Abbott is sporting on the season.....2-7 with a 6.42 ERA. On the other hand, Zach Day gets the nod for Montreal, and although he shut the Phillies out earlier in the year, he did give up 9 hits that day, and he has struggled lately to find the strike zone......I still think Wednesday's batting practice is scheduled to start once the words "Play Ball" are hollared.
Good Luck,
Sharky
