Been slow to cap today --- I'm watching the Nathan's Hot Dog eating contest on ESPN right now --- Kobayashi says he is going to eat 55 dogs today in 12 minutes :scared
Also noticed Kobayashi wore a BetWWTS headband last year -- wonder if they offer lines on this stuff....
Alright down to business....
YTD: 60-52-3 +5.88 units
Cubbies +107....Buerhle back on track last start out -- but this is what put me over the edge: Cubs are 9-5 vs lefties this year while the White Sox are 7-13 vs southpaws. When the Cubbies get hot like this they can really put up some numbers. Their lineup is loaded with quality righties I'll take them as a home dog any day of the week.
Dodgers +142....wish I wrote it down but I heard Jim Rome joking the other day about how good Jeff Weaver's record is lifetime in interleague. Something like 12-5 sticks in my head but don't quote me on that. Anyway, this seems more like a pick em game to me, so I'll take a pretty nice doggie. Escobar gets no run support, and the Angels have lost eight of his last ten starts. While he's pitched alright in those games, he gets no help. Weaver has put together two nice starts in his last two outs, allowing four runs and eleven hits over twelve innings.
Looking at a few others will probably be back.
GOOD LUCK AND ENJOY THE DAY.
