Well what a roller coaster this first half has been, but this past month has gotten me on track to my goal of a 25 unit profit for the season.

I'll be back with plays in a bit -- might trend lightly for the weekend just because 12 units at the All Star break was a benchmark I was looking to hit.

Been having good luck with these NL West overs so I'm taking another shot.

Rockies/Padres over 7.5 -110......when Wells faced off against the Big Unit two weeks ago the total was in the 6.5/7 range, and in all honesty throwing Shawn Estes into the mix merits more than a run of line movement, especially since his era is over 11 in his last two outings. The Rockies can handle left handers (11-8 this year) and the Padres pound them (15-8). Colorado's offense has been lighting things up lately, and ever since Larry Walker is back this lineup has been clicking.

Good luck tonight.

Hey, my "totalling friend"........I may hop on your back for this one......I sorta like the Rockies too. ;)

lol -- it's weird but totals are and probably will always be my second priority, but as of late I really think the lines have been tight on sides and the value has been with the totals.

My weakness in capping sides has that I really hate to ever rely on a bad pitcher, even if the line value is greatly in their favor. Couple that with the fact that I hate to lay the heavy chalk that comes with the aces on the hill, and most of the sides get thrown out on a daily basis.

I'm thinking once we really hit the dog days of summer some skewed lnes will start to surface again when playing sides.

Hey B..........I always subscribe to theory that it's easier for nothing to happen, than something to happen (something about the concept of "inertia"), but if you bet unders in MLB, you'd be broke by now. ;) You've been picking and choosing your spots very well lately with the overs, and I still believe that's the way to go. Keep it goin'.........

I agree with that theory -- especially in football, but I think some of the early unders this year drove down lines, and overs hold the value until they re-adjust. Good luck tonight buddy.
