His stance depends on who he is talking to, if he is talking to a pro-gun crowd he'll make it seem like he is Elmer Fudd, if he is talking to the anti-gun crowd, he'll make it seem like he is Michael Moore...

Yes both sides should like his ideas. I even agree as a hunter and owner of weapons and guns. There is a difference and many that blow smoke don't even know that. Kerry believes a 10/12 round clip should be enough. I agree. If I cant hit something with less then 10. Well maybe I should not own any of them.

Blitz,

All politicians pander to their immediate audience. How do you explain Dubya getting up on the mic a couple years ago at that black Detroit nightclub and busting out Snoop Doggs 'Gin and Juice'? What exactly would you call *that*?

Kosar I see they tried to place about 40000 of them on a list they didn't belong on. I wonder if this happens only in Florida.

Yeah, Jeb claims that this 'mistake' happened when they 'merged the databases'. He regrets the error.

GUNS DON'T KILL PEOPLE ... PEOPLE KILL PEOPLE!!!

Anyone who doesn't grasp the fact that gun control only takes guns away from people who should have the right to bare arms. The criminals will find a way to get them ... just like drugs and anything else supposedly illegal!

People are fawking morons!

As indicated in prior threads, I am anti-gun. However, since the 2nd amendment guarantees the right of citizens to bare arms, I would support the same. As a practical matter, last year 11,000 + Americans died by gunshot wounds. By far and away, we are #1 in the world as Ireland had only 3 or some such number. Although people are guaranteed the right to own guns, don't you all think something should be done about the number of deaths caused by guns in this country.

I know, the right will say tougher laws and don't let the criminals out and the judges are liberal, blah, blah, blah. However, if you want to keep the criminals in jail you gotta spend more money for jails. That means more taxes my right wing friends.

On the other side, my left sided friends say ban all guns. Well commies, that 1) aint constitutional, 2) hunters are entitled to guns for legitimate reasons, and 3) criminals will get them anyway. Your idea just aint practical or realistic.

God, its tough being in the middle on all these issues.

Franky:

Then, according to your logic, since the US has by far the lead in deaths by guns, this country has, by far both in numbers and proportionately, the larger number of criminals. If so, how come we are always right and the rest of the world is always wrong? Maybe America aint perfect after all.

Eddie

PS: Oh yeah, amen.

Why does that line from 'Catcher in the Rye' come to mind...'....as senstive as a toilet seat' ....
Maybe it's just guilt from your delight in using words like 'intimating' to us lesser lights in the forum. Animal.

I don't know what you're talking about, man. My grandma used to have one of those poofy cushions on her toliet seat and it was quite comfy. In fact, that was my favorite reason to visit when I was younger.

lol- as far as 'intimating', I can see why that would bother you. I mean, you and Reno go back quite a ways. 'Like brothers', as you have put it on many occasions.

Absolutely. Like the Corsigan brothers (movie by cheech and chong) who felt each other's pain. I'm cut to the quick by your scathing intimating remarks. I now need a nap. You can continue with your centrist's suffering.

However, if you want to keep the criminals in jail you gotta spend more money for jails.

Or we could stop putting people in jail for marijuana offenses with mandatory sentencing. I don't know which side of the political carnival is for mandatory sentencing for such things, but, imo, it is completely moronic.
