YTD 77-72 [+4.49]
Thurs 1-0 (+1.00)
Well guys, that worked so well last night, I'm gonna try it again.......
OAKLAND ATHLETICS (-111) Like I stated in yesterday's thread, I think the A's are ready to roll. I also get the impression that Zito is looking at this second half of the year as a new start, and expect to see some good things from him. (He even showed signs of improvement in his last outing at Jacobs Field, but just didn't get any run support.) You could make a real good case for Mark Buehrle (3-0 on the road this year; 2-0 with a 1.96 ERA in his L3 starts; he even has a career ERA of 3.45 against the A's). However, here comes my favourite part: Buehrle's career record against Oakland is only 2-5, which is probably directly related to the fact that CHICAGO HAS STILL ONLY WON ONE GAME IN THE LAST 3 YEARS OF TRAVELLING TO OAKLAND!! To take it even a bit further I believe the White Sox are now 7-38 in their last 45 games played in Anaheim, Oakland or Seattle. :look: I'm leaning towards this trend continuing.
I'm also leaning towards the Indians, but waiting to clarify the pitching match-up, and I've been looking at the Mets again as well, but can't get a line just yet, and that one may be too close to call anyway.
Anyway Fellas, all I have to do is get through Friday and I'm on vacation for the next week!! :spotting:
Just hanging around the house, playing some golf, drinking some beer :drinky: and with any luck, making some cash.
Happy Friday,
Sharky
