It's not the best show, but I catch it from time to time. Did any of you see that guy Michael Tata died last week from it? From what I could find on the net, he was found dead in his home and the autopsy has not found the cause of death. Seems a little shady. Any people out in vegas hear about this?

No Shit!!!

I haven't watched in a while. Wasn't he the head of operations. Always screaming and yelling if a pencil was out of place
Didn't he yell at bartender for the Y2k1000 party b/c there was a scuff mark on door.

SHHEESHH

Anyway, what about the guy that jumps in the pool all the time, and gets paid to "Entertain Customers", put drink on top of his head

That dude has NO backbone, He makes a decisison and if its wrong, plays if off on the co-workers

The guy who jumps in the pool was the worst at the playboy mansion. He made an ass of himself by jumping in there!

The guy who died is indeed the head of operations who was extremely nitpicky.

VP of Hotel Operations. The chick the worked under him is a royal bitch!!

Still no word of cause of death here in Vegas.

That marketing dude (water freak) is a total embarassment to Green Valley Ranch and Vegas !!!

Senor I agree that dark haired girl under him is evil (although she does have very nice fake breasts).

If you read any update out there about cause of death i would appreciate it if you can update us since you are in the thick of things.

Michael Tata made the show, especially with his interactions with the female hotel manager. I don't know if he was as anal in real life as the camera made him out to be. By the way, she has some serious cans!!!!!

I like the show a lot and have posted about it before. Was sad to see that gut died of an apparent heart attack, but can you blame him the guy was so stressed out all the time? My favorite was the first episode watching that sugar statue collapse.

I've seen this show a couple of times and its ok for killing an hour if there is nothing else worth watching at the time.

While I'm sorry to hear about this man's death, he was the biggest a-hole that anyone could imagine, IMO.
If I worked for him I'd probably last about 15 minutes before I kicked the living chit outta him..lol. J/K...I'm self-employed...after 8 yrs of not working for anyone, I'd probably kill 90% of any bosses I might have....

Caught the show either last week or the week before when the high roller came into town and they got him seats to the Tito Ortiz-Chuck liddel Ultimate Fight. It was interesting to see Tito without blonde hair(he bleaches it before every fight) and it was cool that he agreed to be on the show before getting his ass kicked by Chuck....any chance the cameras following him around led to his loss? Nah...Chuck just beat him up.....:D

Michael Tata
1996 UNLV graduate was vice president of hotel operations

Green Valley Ranch official found dead

Michael Tata featured in 'American Casino'

By CHRIS JONES
GAMING WIRE

Michael Tata, a Station Casinos executive featured prominently in The Discovery Channel's new "American Casino" television series, was found dead early Tuesday inside his Henderson home. He was 33.

A 1996 graduate of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, Tata began working at Henderson's Green Valley Ranch in June 2001. After a 2 1/2-year tenure as director of hotel operations, Tata was promoted to Green Valley Ranch's vice president of hotel operations in January 2004.

A Henderson Police Department spokesman said officers responded to a call shortly after 9:30 Tuesday morning and found a dead adult male upon entering a Seven Hills area home. The address matched that of a residence county property records show is owned by Michael Tata.

The Clark County coroner's office later confirmed Tata's death was recorded late Tuesday morning. Henderson police spokesman Keith Paul said the death is under investigation, but officers found no initial signs of foul play.

Tata's death shocked his friends and colleagues at Green Valley Ranch, where he had worked since June 2001.

"Michael was the heart and soul of Green Valley Ranch's hotel operations," Vice President and General Manager Joe Hasson said in a statement. "The hotel's outstanding performance over the last three years is a direct reflection of Michael's skills and commitment ... and today we all feel like we have lost a member of our family."

Station Casinos released a statement that called Tata "a valued team member" who will be missed by others at the Las Vegas-based gaming company.

Efforts to reach Tata's family were unsuccessful Tuesday.

A native of Buffalo, N.Y., Tata moved to Las Vegas in 1993. In addition to Station Casinos, he worked at Las Vegas' MGM Grand and Four Seasons hotels and spent three years in management roles at the Four Seasons resort in Maui, Hawaii.

In an online biography associated with "American Casino," Tata said he enjoyed the ambiance of working in a resort environment but did not enjoy "busting people's chops all day, especially people who cannot handle constructive criticism." If he could have held any other job at Green Valley Ranch, Tata joked, he would have become a doorman or pool attendant "to reap the obvious benefits of either position."
