stevie,

at the start of the war, i saw an ex-cia agent on either matthews show or o'reilly's show who stated that it was his opinion that the u.s. should go into iran before iraq.

and i have seen the ex-cia chief before tenant (forgot his name) state a few times that if it was up to him he would have attacked iran & syria after iraq.

i think that the administration is hoping that with the allied troops surrounding iran. in afghanistan & iraq, iran would implode from within. there's always reports that the iranian people are unhappy with their gov't.

hopefully that will happen.

I hope that will happen but in the time wasted trying to unarm the unarmed Iran has been making progress on their nuclear program. We have our hands full in what may turn out to be a full scale civil war in Iraq. We should have gone after those who were a threat to us before we started nation building in Iraq. I would agree with you AR if we went to war with Iraq but we didn't we went to war with Saddam.

Not sure we will rush again as the mistake in Iraq has showen we did. Also Iran has oil but not like Iraq. So I would say less then 50% we do anything with Iran. Other then talk.

I posted right on this board when we invaded Iraq it should have been Iran, they are infinitely more developed weapon wise (chemical biological & nuclear) than Iraq. But Bush had a hair across his ass for Saddam because of oil & because Saddam tried to kill 41. AR, MY FRIEND, you want to invade Iran & Syria after Iraq? We can't even obtain control of Iraq, 18 months ago Bush told us war over. Every single day American kids are dying, and they are doing so for people that despise & spit on us. Is everyone in the country ready to send their kids over seas, because conquering Iraq Iran & Syria etc. etc. is going to take much more bodies than the military has now. Lots more than just poor peoples kids going to have to sign up.

"the problem ,these terriots are coming from iran across the border"

maybe this is true to some extent, however you do not control two major cities in Iraq without support from the people who actually live in the country.

thanks

Probably the same reason the Saudis were told by GWB about the plans to invade Iraq BEFORE Colin Powell. According to Woodward's book (this point was later confirmed by a USA general) the Saudis were privy to our intended secret plans to invade Iraq before our secretary of state Colin Powell. These guys we got in office now are an absolute cluster-fuk.

ar- my bad, I missread your post.
Saint, I love when guys like you write these cute funny little one liners. But believe me the oil is pouring in, and remember Thomas Hamill, the American truck driver that barely escaped Iraq with his life. He works for Kellogg Brown & root, the oil recovery subsidiary of Halliburton, the reason KBR is in Iraq, is to "develop Iraqi
Southern oil fields"
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/3405201.stm
along with Mr. Hamill 6 other KBR employees have been found murdered & buried in shallow graves, you probably figuring just coincidence right?
Regarding our friends and Mr. Bush s in Saudi Arabia
Saudi Arabia is the birthplace of al Qaeda founder Osama bin Laden and the leading financial backer of conservative Islamic causes around the world. From the late 1970s until 2001, an estimated 15,000 Saudis trained at camps in Afghanistan and helped fuel religious warfare across the Middle East and northern Africa.

Shamrock good point about stay out of Iran and we will. Even tho we know Bin might have gone there for hiding. Even tho we new Iran had more to do with terror then Saddam. I said it takes time but the truth will come out. Iraq was 9 or 10 on the hit list. Somehow got moved up to 2nd. We need to finish Afagan and Iraq and that could take years. We don't even have enough service men to we complete those. But as much as this guy in the white house shoots from the hip one never knows. But there has to be someone there in his administration bright enough to get his attention.
