I don't understand the appeal in these things. Sure, they're big and powerful, but they are just so f*cking ugly to me, just like those Mercedes SUV's that are essentially a big box with a hood. I have to assume it's just the status that comes with owning one. I mean, I love the big Escalades and Navigators, etc., and think they look very sharp, but these... ugh.

Ive got a friend that has the H2..its fun to drive, but it seems more of a novelty than anything else...he's the type that would never use it for whats its really meant for

it is fun to tailgate with at football games...;)

What was it really meant for? Most of the H2s that I see, (which is a lot), will never see mud unless they went through a puddle on the way to the supermarket. If I was going to spend that kind of money, then I would get a more loaded version of the Suburban, which is essentially what the H2 is, but I could never get passed those cardboard seats that they both have. :)

The H2 comes equipped with the very same transmission and transfer case that my GMC Sierra Z-71 has. It has a 4L60-E Transmission and a NV-3500 Transfer Case. The Engine that I saw under the hood was still a 5.3 litre Vortec........a dressed up 327 small block chevy. So what makes the damn thing worth 50K?????? Thats right Status....thing gets awful mileage and is no better off roading than my Z-71. But This is just my opinion because I can not afford one, if I had the money I would have one of them but all I can afford is the GMC Sierra........HA
