The wife and I are going to go out to the track this Fri. We usually go once a year so this will tell you how much I know about handicapping. Ive been looking around and it seems I cant download the racing form till tommorow. If anyone has any tips for Fridays card I would appreciate it. I will gladly e-mail the program to anyone that wants it after I download it.

I will also post what I am going to bet on so if someone sees I am doing something seriously wrong or it wouldnt be a good bet...by all means speak up.

Thanks

As you can see I didnt get time to get the program. This being on vacation is worse than work. Oh well..I will have a couple of hours to kill at the track to look over some picks. I figure i will go by the following...Horses last race/workout( If its like the dogs the longer the layoff the worse they run), horses in the money %, post position(to see if a certain horse runs good/bad from a certain position), blinkers on/off (I think that its 1st time blinkers is good..not sure on this), and jockey winning %.

Kdogg21..Thanks for the offer.

Got back from the track today. Lost the 1st 8 races. At least the beer was cold. Then for th 9th race I was walking around inside and I finally paid attenetion to what the commentary people were saying on the tv screens. I bet the #7 across the board and it came in at 14-1. That took a huge chunck out of my losses. Won a little more on the 9th (#6 to show at 50-1). I ended up being down for the day but thats Ok. We had a blast there. The next time I go there i will listen more closely to the commentators because I know I cant pick the ponies by just reading the forum.

I don't follow him daily but in the past Joe Kristufek has had some very good insite on the ponies. He's at the Arlington Park website as well as another newspaper....I think the Herald.
