Been cold over the last couple days on my "Chicago" plays. Like I say in the NBA, you can't cap laziness. I just hate to see it in Americas game.

Looking into tonights game, Garland is coming off a no decision against Detroit allowing 5 runs in 6 2/3rds. He is an on-again off-again type cat. He's going to need to bring it with the Sox playing small ball of late. I know this is not something to lay one's gambling $$ on, but I would think one of these games in this series would go Under between these two offensive powerhouses. Garland has a 4.44 era lifetime against KC, and much of that was when they had some players. Zack Greinke is an unknown in the Sox eyes which is usually a disadvantage Sox. They beat up an unknown in the 1st game of the series, can they do it twice. I would be nervous about laying the big wood here (I know my local will have it $150 or more) as these young Sox have a tendency for a hangover affect (look at the Minny series and the Detroit series after that one). Also, Garland doesn't even know when he has his good stuff.

off the net....
Greinke, who had been supported by a meager 25 runs in his first dozen starts, is coming off a victory over the Indians on Saturday when the Royals scored 10 runs. Greinke gave up three runs on seven hits over five innings.

Tells me they weren't hitting for him when they had a couple of the last good bats on the team left before they went AWOL (Sweeney :sadwave: )

I good be dead wrong off (I'm getting better at that of late) on my take here, and the young unknown hitters may have the advantage in this one.

(looking at the Atl and Sea games as well)

Risking $120 to win $100 on the Under (getting line later)

GL Jackers :)

What I'm up against...

White Sox lost last four Garland starts (0-3, 5.76). Greinke is 1-2, 10.54 in his last three starts. :scared

What goes up comes down right :com:

What I got on my side...

Under is 10-4 in last fourteen White Sox games, 5-1 in last six Garland starts, 12-2 in Greinke starts. :grins:

Zack Greinke has 2 overs, 5 unders, and 0 pushes as a dog at home.

Jon Garland has 5 overs, 14 unders, and 2 pushes as favorite on the road.

Might be kicking myself in the AM but here goes.

Local had a 9, I'm playing Under

Thinking yesterdays debacle wasn't of the "team" variety for the White Sox. Shoenwhatever hasn't been a team player to this point in the year bitching about his role when the team was out picking up talent to improve. The rest of the team saw that blown double play and the runs given up. I don't think anyone was in the mood to play especially after the dope gives up two more runs the following inning. I think we will see more of the game one type scenerio were the Sox come to play. They haven't done well against pitchers they haven't seen, but then again, the kids that are playing on the field now have no history against any pitchers and don't apply to that history. (get it LOL) I'm hoping yesterday was the exception to the rule or the norm.

$300 to win $200 on the Sox

GL Jackers :)

BTW
Dogg, the Sox have not recently handled their farm system well. I remember when they were supposedly on top with all those pitching prospects five or so years back and the Sox held on to them like they were gold. Ended up really getting nothing for all that supposed talent. Like to see a little more Yankee-style movement were you trade the media driven young studs for proven talent.

I think Kenny will be waiving the white flag soon. He is gonna end up running himself out of town. Basically he gave up 5 minor league guys for Carl Evertt and he hasn't done squat. You acquire Alamor again, i mean if he was so good, why wouldn't the Sox just resigned him last year. All Kenny is doing is slowing the progress of his young guys. Harris isn't bad, but he needs more PT and same with Borchard. Just let them play. the Sox still have a chance, but its looking grim right now. When Hunter blasted into Jamie Burke last week, i think that took the wind out of their sails...

I was talking to someone today about the Alomar move.

I'm thinking it was just something to show the fans they are still going all out and believe in the team. They have been doing quite well attendancewise at the Cell, esp weekend games.

Heard an interview with Reinsdorf the other day. I got the impression that he doesn't totally leave himself out of the decision making when it comes to components of the team. I still think he would gladly trade all the Bulls rings for one South Side World Series ring.

Kenny ain't going anywhere because he's the right temperment for the Chairman, regardless if I don't like him or not.

Can't put this year on Kenny. Also, they have been very correct in players, esp pitchers, that they didn't keep with money. EX Colon, Fernandez, Alverez, Alomar the 1st time.

I won't use the Cub's team slogan, since it's copywritten, "There's always.......

Y?know when you?re at the blackjack table and your chips are running low and you?re wondering if you should go to the ATM once your chips are gone so that you can ?re-load.? But then you put you last $25 chip out on the table and you get K-Q and the dealers showing a 5. And you?re thinking to yourself this is . . . just maybe, the start of a great run. You smile as you wave your hand to say ?stay? and then the dealer pulls a 8 to get to 13, and then a deuce, and then an Ace. And before you can even look at the card you are dead certain that the 5 is coming out of the shoe. And then, sure enough, it does. And you know that the ATM is not the place where you should be going because the dealer is on a roll and is angry.

Well that?s how I felt last night after the Sox get the 3 runs that they needed to F? my over, but pop up when Carlos has a chance to tie the game. This baseball season is over for me. Learned about Ozzie, which will help for next year, but I have no big illusions that I would come close to sniffin? even again this year. I?ll be keepin? an eye
