Finally Friday.......the 13th

Thursday was good to me.....It's been a while since I've seen a sweep, even if it was only a couple of games.

Anyway, trying to keep the momentum going with one game (for right now) for Friday the 13th. Gonna try to avoid goalie masks and chainsaws for the next day or so.....

FLORIDA MARLINS (+106) I like the way the Florida bats showed signs of life against the Cards before heading out of stormy Florida and off to Wisconsin. I also like the way Valdez pitched in his debut for the Marlins, the way he has already beaten this Brewer squad 3 times this year, and his miniscule ERA of 0.86 in 21 IP in 2004 against the Brew Crew. Capuano also pitched well last start against this Florida team, but I think they may have a little more luck against him the second time around. (In contrast to Milwaukee who has not shown an ability to catch on to Valdez' stuff).

It's Club Championship this weekend at the golf course, so I think it's in my best interest to try to keep myself out of the cold ones after work this Friday. :look:

I'm about an hour north of Sarnia (across from Port Huron), and it's chillier than a whore's "Hello" here today. Feels just like late September. Been a pretty crappy summer all around.....fairly cool and a lot of rainy days. If I were a gamblling man , I'd bet Southern California has this beat all to hell.........
