PHILADELPHIA (AP) -- Roger Clemens left the Houston Astros' game against the Philadelphia Phillies on Wednesday night after apparently injuring one of his legs while running to first base in the fourth inning.
Just hours after the Astros said left-hander Andy Pettitte would have season-ending elbow surgery, Clemens got hurt after lining a two-run single to right field that gave the Astros a 5-4 lead.
Clemens allowed four runs and five hits in three innings, and struck out three.
