Mark it down after losing tonight and how they lost in the 9th with 1 out first batter K'ed then ex dodgers came back to beat dodgers and mota helped also for fish, the dodgers will not win the west . that could be a real blow to them in the head, mid season no problem but this will shake them up they need to take 2 out of 3 against braves which will be hard, this could start a little cold streak for dodgers and before they know it giants or sd could be right on their door step in 2 weeks.

Very hard way to lose a game, that broke a streak of dodgers winning 151 straight games when leading after 8, that is unreal. i say they blow the west now. Seen it happen before with teams losing a game late in the year and in first go into a panic mode for a few weeks if they lose the next series and they end up losing division.

It is not that they lost but how they lost that can screw with their minds, it is a must to take 2 of 3 against braves IMO.

Agree with your part about a devastating loss for them. But Hoffman just blew a save so they end up losing only a half game to the Giants and none to the padres unless Smoltz blows it. I still think they win the division, thats where I disagree with you.

Schmidt hurt for San Francisco. Without him, and that bullpen you can throw their chances out.
San Diego just doesn't have the bats. If they got Finley instead of the dodgers it might be a different story, but they didn't.

I think the dodgers stumble into the playoffs becuase neither team behind them is that good. This is a tough stretch for them. In the midst of 20 games in 20 days. They always struggle with east teams.

I think they make the postseason but don't see the 2nd round. If Cubs make playoffs thats who they would probably see and their bats could go ice cold with their 1-2 punch.

Not that it matters, but playing a 4 game series with braves not 3. I'll take a split.

make that they need to win 3 out of 4 against braves, they have a soft end of aug but sept play cards, giants and sd it will be a fight in sept if they lose 2 to braves and a game each time they play a soft team in the end of aug. i think they play cards 6 or 8 times will have to look.

after 4 with the braves they are on the road next 13 games and have yes 6 with cards 7 with sd and 6 with giants, the road trip will make or break them if they don't take 3 out of 4 from braves.

even though road swing is soft teams who are out of race love to knock a first place team out of first, this was a big L might not sound like it but it was, and perez through very well he should of got the win, but that is baseball.

I was actually hoping he was gonna leave Perez in there...I believe he had in the high 90's pitch count......but Gagne has been money so I guess I cant 2nd guess that
