Guys,

I must admit, when I was on this site last year I thought this guy was a total HOMER, and maybe he is, but if you listen to him about the PAC 10, he seems to know his stuff. He is very biased toward his team and his conference and, yeah, he comes off very brash and obnoxious, but who am I to judge. He is here to talk CFB, just like the rest of us are. To be honest, I don't pay attention to most of the propaganda he lists. SOS doesn't mean a damn thing to me. I make my opinions, he makes his, and you make yours. We don't all have to agree, that's the beauty of these forums, but instead of us bitching like school girls about what he said/she said, why don't we all, and this includes you Scott, make a concentrated effort to pool all of our resources together, use the info provided, and kick the sh*t out of the books this year!!! Just my two cents. I really like this site and I really like the folks on it. I think it is pointless to sit here and argue over something as menial as an opinion. GL2 EVERYONE. Let's do what we need to do.

Bama,

I agree that we are here to make money, that is a fact. However, the start of this thread has nothing to do with making money. THAT IS A FACT!! Now, the other thread he started about USC vs Va Tech is useful from my point of view, one of the few things that is useful that has come from him.

I think this is the point everyone is trying to make. All Scott wanted to do by starting this thread is to get everyone to argue with him and bring more attention to him. If he starts threads like the other one I am referring to, then he could PERHAPS, start gaining respect again. However, if he keeps rambling about useless BS, then no one will take him seriously.

Good luck to you and your gaming efforts and good luck to your BAMA boys this year. This coming from a Vol fan!!??

The start of this thread was about conference strength of schedules. That is useful information. I don't care about whatever bias he throws in at the end of it. Why should anybody care? The fact is - he's bringing some good info.

And let's face it - there is a clear East Coast bias in the media. I can't blame a PAC-10 fan for lashing out from time to time - especially given the way USC was screwed out of the title game last year.

I say give everyone enough room to be a homer. As long as they bring good info with them, they can rah rah all they want.

Bama,

If I am being honest, I can only see one and that is Bama. QB situation in Knoxville is in question, and don't see us beating UGA down there. However, this is kind of the feeling I had when Manning graduated and Martin came in and we all know how that went, so who the hell knows!! I am hearing that Bama is done with Legion Field. There were some damn good games over the years there, but I guess it makes more sense to play in Tuscaloosa. I hear that Brody is getting some campetition at QB, what do you think?

Thanks for posting and I completely agree with you. I think some people here have a hard time accepting the truth. This thread was very appropriate for the college football forum. Not only did I find it interesting but I def. use SOS in my handicapping. If anybody dislikes it, there are 49 other threads to choose from. People need to learn to focus on the material inside a thread and not the person posting. I often question the maturity level in this forum.

I also do not understand why people consider me a homer. Take a look at my "capping V-Tech vs USC" thread. There is no question I am a die hard USC fan but I do not bet on USC every week and I even suggested taking V-Tech 1h and the under. I stated the weaknesses or mismatches on both sides in that game. There is solid reasoning behind every opinion I shared. Is that a homer? I would classify that as an intelligent fan!

Last year I only bet on USC 4 or 5 times all year (wish I was a homer and bet on them more cuz USC was great ATS). If you read my posts, they are not just rah rah USC. I "always" give solid reasonings behind my opinion. I always back up my opinion. As a result, that allows the reader to make up his own conclusion. I do not just say USC will beat V-Tech by 30pts! That would be useless info and that would be the def. of a homer.

BTW, I think betting against USC this season will be very profitable, especially early.

Lastly, I think people on this site are fearful to speak out about the team they root for because they will be labeled a homer. I would love it if an FSU or Miami fan would come on here and give detailed info about their team and what they project to happen in the FSU Miami match-up. If an FSU fan thinks his team will win by 2TD's thats cool as long as he gives his reasons why. That is how we all can learn from each other. Merely stating your opinion with nothing to support it is worthless and those are the posters who should be criticized.

Skipper,

Tee Martin was the man that year! In regards to the QB spot, I think Brodie will be fine, but to have someone right behind you, pushing you and turning coaches heads is always a good sign. Spencer Pennington is a big kid with an absolute cannon for an arm. If Brodie has issues, he has been taking enough snaps to move right in and take over. I look for us to be VERY STRONG on the defensive side of the ball, especially with our linebackers with Ryans, Roach, and Wortham, 2 could be potential All Americans.

I am extremely happy to be out of Legion Field. Definitely some good memories, but it is much more of a home field advantage at Bryant-Denny in T-Town.

I never count you guys out. The Vols always come ready to play. After a subpar last season, I think you guys are very dangerous this year and could sneak up on some folks. Anyhow, GL, and always remember:

"SEC: The Nation's PREMIER Conference"

Bama,

I think you hit the nail on the head, when you say that Tennessee is "dangerous". I think that the Vols COULD beat anybody, but I just don't see them running the table, not in "The Nation's PREMIER Conference" as you put it.

I have relocated to Alabama, so I am hearing a great deal about Bama, but Auburn is the team that could pop some people I think. No one is talking about them this year like last year. I also think your man Sylvester Croom is going to do a hell of a job down at MSU. He is going to class and making sure his boys show up!! Give him three years and they will be back.

God intended the Alabama-Auburn game to be played at Legion Field. The Spawn-of-Satan Pat Dye managed to get the series changed to Home & Home, mainly based on the stance that Legion Field was not neutral (tickets were basically split evenly, but Bama played the majority, if not all, of its home games there each season). If Bama plays ALL of its home games at Bryant-Denny, surely the game will be moved back to Legion Field and tens of thousands of fans from BOTH SIDES can go to the game each year. We can always pray, but when the damn Tigers are involved, well, you know how it is...
