saint louis is on cruise control and these games mean nothing to them right now. aside from that- perez is worthy of being -120 to -130 over marquis. somebody talk me out of putting a good chunk on the pirates. perez is filthy and shows no signs of tiring down the stretch.
can somebody tell me why marquis is favored over perez?....

i'm thinking just the opposite. no way i could bet on the pirates against the cards right now. if the cards show up at the ballpark they are going to hit and hit and hit. plus, it's a good chance for the cards to see some very good left-handed pitching (maybe they'll see it as a challenge). i could be totally wrong, but if tony plays all the starters, i'm going to have to take the cards.

interesting perspective. good counterpoint. thats the kind of response i was looking for. i have no numbers on this but it seems like pittsburgh has played st.louis really well this season. perez at home has been ridiculous lately (has allowed 1 run or less in 5 of his last 6 home starts). but like you said- st.louis just rakes as a team. and perhaps they will indeed be "up" for finally getting a test in what will likely be an uneventful last month for them. we'll see if tony has edmonds or walker in the lineup sunday afternoon. thanks for the reply

I think Perez could be a great one but I would be very hesitant to back him here...not sold on Cards in this spot either....Perez has some nasty stuff....I dont think Walker will be in lineup.....he struck out 3 time vs Perez last time...but Perez is only 5-5 at home this year due to lack of run support...I would hate to see him pitch a dandy then come out in a tie game or behind....plus Cards saw him recently so maybe they will have a better chance at him this time......anyways I am not touching the game but best of luck to you GMAN
screw it. i had to bite. perez (+103) for a regular play. also played san diego and montreal under 9. dont see the expos touching wells but also not seeing the dads get more than 4 or 5
