Gibber I hate you but give me some fantasy advice anyway. This thursday I pick 9th in a 10 team redraft serpentine league. The first 8 will be running backs. My dilema is do I take Moss or Taylor with the 9th pick. Whoever I don't take will be picked up by the guy picking 10th.

Of the second tier backs in the second round (12th overall) who do you like? Barlow, Dillon, DD, Faulk, S. Davis, Henry, etc.

I'ml leaning that way Mama but, our league is so running back crazy, if I take Moss at 9 then, say D. Davis at 12, I'll be left with D. Davis as my number 1 back and someone like T. Jones (at 29) as my number 2 back.

I guess my question is that in a 10 team league am I better off with 2 second tier rb's or 1 stud wide receiver and 1 second tier rb? By the way, how bad is Bennett hurt?

from cbs

Michael Bennett, RB MIN

News: The Minneapolis Star-Tribune reports team officials believe Bennett (sprained right knee) might be out for the first two games of the regular season.

Analysis: Consider dropping Bennett slightly on your cheat sheets and moving Moe Williams up a little bit. He makes for a decent replacement if you have already selected Bennett. Rookie Mewelde Moore might also see a few carries.

i would take moss at 9. Take the best available player after the elite 8 RB are gone. make sure u take at least one RB in the first two rounds.

i think bennet has def the most upside, but it is always a RB circus over there. Onterio Smith is sus for dope. Just another reason to take moss. I think there will be a lot of jump balls on the six yard line.

2:

Of the second tier backs (assume Moss and Taylor are gone along with the elite 8 running backs) who would you take at 12th overall. Rank the following if you don't mind:

D. Davis
C. Dillon
K. Barlow
R. Johnson
T. Henry
M. Faulk
S. Davis

Lastly, who do you like as a wr after Moss. Rank these guys:

C. Johnson
T. Holt
M. Harrison
TO

Thanks

Eddie

hmm
i would go
Rudi-going to get all the carries there

henry-had good numbers last season. Going to be the starter despite rookie lookin over his shoulder. handcuff w/ McGahee

d davis-might be safest pick on here

Faulk-this is a risky one, but his upside could be big too. Make sure u handcuff steven jackson (especially here). ] Faulk is so hit or miss

corey dillion-i don't like him but he will do fine there. It is safer to take him before faulk i think, but i have a gut feeling about faulk.

st. davis-might have some carries taken away by Deshaun Foster. i would again handcuff here.

I think all these RB's are very close. I always like to go with those who are the only running option.

wr.
1. Harrison 2. Holt 3. TO. 4 C. Johson
Big droppoff after TO though

Thanks 2 and Mama:

I'm still torn between Moss and Taylor. The only thing I don't like about Rudi is the Bengals have a tough schedule with teams that are good against the run. Dillon's looked like my dogs butt so far this year.

Oh hell, maybe I'll take Ricky Williams at #9, pray that he comes out of retirement, and go smoke some weed with him and AR. Thanks for the advice.

Take Manning with your 2nd and you should be able to get Lee Suggs,Barber,Westbrook, or maybe Chris Brown with the next pick. Don't underestimate having a stud QB. There are only 2.

Good Luck.

I would rate D. Davis and Barlow as the top two available RB's at #12. Stephen Davis, Faulk, and Henry I wouldn't touch in the Top 20 as they all have different issues which will probably hurt their numbers this season.

Also, take a look at Brian Westbrook if he slips into the 3rd round. I would take him before S. Davis, Faulk, Henry, or Bennett.

As far as wide receivers, after Moss, I would rank them...

Harrison
Holt
Owens
Johnson
Ward

But after Moss, Harrison, and probably Holt, the numbers of Johnson, Ward and Owens might not be much different than a few receivers you can get a little later, such as Steve Smith, Santana Moss, and Derrick Mason.

Thanks Jawz and Hoops:

What is your take on Moss v. Taylor at #9. The guys in my league love running backs so if I pass on Taylor and take Moss, I anticipate #10 will take Taylor at 10 and DD or Barlow at 11. What looks better to you:

Moss and DD or Barlow or
Taylor and DD or Barlow.

Also any thoughts on Chris Brown at 29 or 32 overall?

Our draft was yesterday, we had last pick in 12 man team so it was 12 + 13. Grabbed Harrison as Moss was gone and for 2nd tier went with Rudi. Probably too high, but he wasnt gonna be there when it came back.

Chris Brown went 37th so your numbers arent off. All the backs were GONE. Barlow and Davis were 2nd rounders.

u are so lucky hasselbeck and moss have a bye when we meet. Otherwise it would be very very ugly in week 4. I will get u back when we meet later in the year when nobody has a bye. Best u can hope for is a split
