i hope it`s nothing serious....but,

i`m hearing that it might be bypass surgery.....

i hope this is a mistake...

That's weird. On the news i'm watching they are saying he's only taking a few stress-tests to see if any surgery is needed. It's Fox news, but still.

(CBS) CBS News has learned that former President Clinton was hospitalized on Friday in New York City after complaining of chest pains.

A source close to Mr. Clinton tells CBS News that Mr. Clinton complained of chest pains Thursday night and was taken to a hospital near his home in Chappaqua, N.Y. Doctors, according to our source, found a blockage. Mr. Clinton is now in the New York Presbyterian hospital in Manhattan.

The New York Times reports on its web site that Mr. Clinton had a heart attack. CBS News has not independently confirmed that.

Mr. Clinton's wife, Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, D-N.Y., was attending an event in Syracuse, N.Y., when the news of her husband's condition broke.

Clinton, who is 58, struggled with his weight during his presidency but has slimmed down since leaving office.

There's even a discrepency on where he is. Fox is saying he's at the Columbia Medical Center. Even having live shots of the hospital doors.

Now they're saying Columbia Presbyterian Hospital. Is that the same one that CBS is saying?

the good news is that he`s in the hospital.....and they didn`t rush him into immediate by-pass surgery.....

obviously,they feel there`s a window of time that allows them to assess the situation....

Too bad. Clinton was on Lettermen a couple weeks ago and looked great. Lettermen even commented on how great he looked and Clinton said he'd lost some weight. He looked the slimmest I'd ever seen him.

He's only what, 58? Sad deal, but like somebody else said, at least he just didn't drop dead, and he's in the hospital where he can be attended to. President Bush has already called him. Is Hillary at his side?
