Is Purde over hyped ??????????YES```YES````

First let me say ,I am not a syracuse fan,definitely not a coach P fan...but purde a top 25 team, why not somebody has to be. kyle orton passed for 225 yds per game last yr/syracuse passed for 190 with rj anderson.orton had 16 td & 8 int,I think.this guy is being talked about as the second comimg. he lost to bowling green last year;didn't beat anybody good. Purdue has 3 back on (D). do you think syracuse will run the football? I see a low scoring game unless syracuse blows these guys out. does anyone think syracuse has a chance? I WILL GO WITH THE HOUSE...TAKE THE POINTS...THE BOYS AND THE BOOKS CLEAN UP ON THIS ONE...........all you need to know is the house always wins,don't bite the hook!!!!!!!!!!!!

Agree that purdue is overhyped but as a SU season ticket holder myself, you have to admit that this SU team should battle Temple as worst in Big East.

SU will be pretty one dimensial this year as they have a green QB and below average WR's. Purdue should be able to stack the line and contain Reyes and force Fields to show something in the air. I did not see the spring game or any practice this year but report on Fileds is good option runner but very tenative in the pocket. If he can not keep defenses honest, I see a long season once again. The OL is average at best. SU is so desprate for offense that they moved their best secondary player Steve Gregory to WR


Aside from a game performance in Miami last year and a good game in Auburn in 02, SU has been bad on the road.

Their only two road wins were to bad teams.

I see nothing going on at SU to change this slide. Coach P is a lame duck IMHO. He will play out the string this year and then SU will have to make a change.

I see no chance for a straight up win. They may cover if SU defense can stay away from allowing the big play ( which they could not do at all last year), and Reyes controls the clock. Special teams will continue to suck under Coach P. Cuse had the most punts blocked last year in country I think and same punter is back this year.

I think the under is the play if anything.

i looked hard at this game and couldn't find a thing that appealed to me. agree with twofingers that the under would be my first pick among the options, but with both teams having little defensive experience, i'll pass on that too.

Over hyped? Maybe, but who cares about early season rankings i.e. LSU? Ross Ade will be rocking today and I don?t see SU keeping up. Purdue defense is questionable but their offense is solid. Look for Orton & Stubblefield to hook up early and often. As Twofingers pointed out, SU is horrid on the road and it won?t get any better today in West Lafayette. I?ll lay the 12 with the Boilers and lean to the over.

fingers your right about everything you posted. those are the numbers & facts.........BUT my point is , special TV game, all the hype is on purdue and orton. Throw all that sh-t out and go the other way.I talking about getting the money.But I do agree with everthing you posted.NOTE: we don't know how su's QB will play & if the new coordinator on defense will make a difference.I think Purde is a bad team.

I am taking Syracuse +12 in this game as well. It seems all the numbers put to purdue winning this one but I have a gut feeling somehow Syracuse may win or at least keep it close. So I guess I'll just have to cross my fingers and hope. Good luck to everybody else.

Syracuse is getting smoked.. I stayed away because Syracuse is a team that beats me if I go against them and lays down when I bet them. This is going to be a long year for the Cuse. I think they get smoked by Rutgers in Oct

I use to follow this team home and some on the road, had season tickets, I lost faith in this guy Nov 1994 @ BC. gave up my tickets 3 yrs later, Fingers have fun @ the dome....
