This is gonna be fun to watch this team run the West Coast...many school records will be broken in the passing dept this year and Dailey just might break 1 tonight.....I think I read where they have never had a 300 yard passer in a game....gonna have to double check that but Dailey is already over 230 in the 2nd quarter

it will get worse before better, not a passing qb or passing team and it will take 2 years to get the right type of player in to fit system not hold overs from last years teams and guys who were signed before early. they will be lucky to win 8 games, they will lose to pitt in pitt mark that one down. and pitt will get points just because onf the name neb. i say they make it neb-3 to 5 points .

callahan kept it pretty vanilla on sat, and dailey and huskers played very well in the first half. they really didn't show any of their blitz packages, just sat and read. to lay 3 against a depleted pitt team would be a gift. think after this year, callahan's name will be mentioned among the top tier of college coaches. i agree, there will be growing pains at times in going to the westcoast offense, but the defense will keep them in games. bottom line, this team will be undefeated going in to manhattan late in the year. :)

You guys need to put down the pipe. They are not that good but certainly will be down the road. Only an extremely favorable schedule will make the record look good. They will lose in Lubbock before losing to Kstate/Mizzou/OU.

Excited about the new system in place in Lincoln. The real test for them will obviously not come until they play a decent team later in the season but I think the majority of the football public is anxiously anticipating just how good they will have performed come years end. Losing pelini will hurt so we will see how the defense holds up with out him on the sidelines.

Do't take my post wrong they are going to be good, very good. They have the right coach he will do a great job but with change comes some let downs first year look at wvu when rich came in first year and changed both off and deff, he had to use the players he had and none of what he was able to go out and get, they went 3-8.Then look at how he did the next 2 years after that, they only lost 2 big east games in 2 years 12-2 lost both times to miami and should of won last year and were co-big east champs and beat va.tech both years and was co- champs of the big east last year.

I think neb. will be the same way they will win some but will not blow down the walls this year, but they are in the right direction with a coach who will make a great college coach for years to come IMO but he has to get his type of players in to do what he really wants to do and he will do that it will take a year or two is all, but they will be back to what cornhuskers fans expect.

You just can't expect him to do to much his first year with hold overs, if they make it above 8 wins he will have done a very outstanding job and they will be back fighting for the big 12 crown in the next few years and will remain there year in and year out.

I was very happy for the hire they made when he got the job, not a easy place to coach at because of booster's and the pressure they put on a coach to win, but he will and will do it for along time, just needs to get the players he wants that plug into his system and then ok,texas, and k.state will have a run for their money every year once he gets what he needs in the next 1-2 recruiting classes of his own, not a few players he got to grab and left overs, and you have to remember the left overs have to learn a whole new system on both sides of the ball also, I think he brings back the type of football the husker fans were spoiled with for so long and that is a winning team who contends for a title or has a chance every year.
