LONG WRITE-UP!!

Colorado (ML) vs. Washington

Colorado quit at half time last week because they thought they could coast to victory. A good lesson to learn in week one the Buffalos will not let up this weekend. New Mexico had no luck rush the ball into the middle of Washington?s defense. This is where Colorado has the edge. They have an outside speed rushing attack. Klatt is not a very good QB but if the line gives him a little time he will be able to find his TE in the middle of the field. Purify will have a good game!

Arizona St (ML) over N'Western

The sun devils showed last week they have a for real passing attack. TCU made big plays throwing the ball vs. N'Western. Playing at home helps the purple but (IMO) the offense of ASU is just too dynamic for N'Western to control.

Oregon (-20) over Indiana

Hoosiers fly across country to play in a very unfriendly environment! The Ducks d-line is strong even with out the players they lost to the NFL. Although Indianas line is experienced they will still have a tough time. On the reverse the Hoosiers are strong at LB not line and will have a hard time getting through this big strong Duck O-line. Whitehead (RB) will find holes to run. Giving Clements time to pick a apart the secondary. #1 WR is a playmaker for Oregon but they need someone else to step up for them at 2 &3. This offense needs big plays from WR.

UVA (-22) over UNC

UNC showed they just don't have the play makers anymore on defense. This UVA team is strong on defense and even stronger on offense. Lundy should have a huge game opening up Miller down field. The game is at UVA and the Cavs play very well at home. The Cavs lack a big time WR in the passing game, but UNC is weak in the secondary so VA should be able to exploit with the pass. Look for the Cavs returning O-line to man handle UNC. The LB's for UVA are (IMO) one of the best groups in the NCAA. They should be all over UNC's QB, because he likes to run as soon as a play breaks down. UVA too quick for that!

Bama (-11) vs. Ol Miss

If Ol Miss won last week this would have been a different game, but now the team is think they can't make plays with out Eli! However this Bama team is much improved and had a revenge chip on their shoulder. Having 2 RB that can handle the ball will be a lot for an Ol Miss defense to contest with. Bama stopped Utah st's rushing game but it is a bigger challenge to stop Ol Miss. Alabama has to stop the run! Bama took this team to a nail bitter last time they met but that was with Manning and @ Ol Miss, new story @bama.

WVU (-20) over C. Florida

UCF gave up 400 yards of offense to Wisc, but caused them to fumble four times. The Badgers rushed for 230 yards, SO I expect to see a lot of rushing from WVU! Kay-Jay Harris is a work horse and should have a big day. West Virginia amassed 621 yards of total offense against East Carolina, including a 478-59 advantage on the ground. Another effort like that should mean a big day for Marshall. West Virginia must key on Central Florida senior running back Alex Haynes, who is the team's top offensive threat. In the WVU defensive Scheme they should be able to shadow him!

Parlay
Texas (-11) / Florida Atlantic (ML) :scared / Utah (-13)

 Still looking at Georgia, Ohio St, Wake Forest,& Wyoming

ND (+13.5) vs. Mich

At home the Irish have to be up for this game. The Wolverines lead the series 18-12-1. In nine of the previous 11 meetings, the game was decided by seven points or less and the biggest margin of victory in the previous 30 meetings was 23.

I hear you CWood, I don't think you have to worry about the loss. Mich defense is way to strong for an anemic offense. With that being said I think ND's defense can make plays and might give Frosh QB Henne problems. Is Grant going to play, not that it would make a whole lot of difference but could lead toward an under play for me.

"the bunker"
g.l.,my man...i have to say that i couldn`t bet az st with someone else`s money until they show they can finish teams that have a pulse....

one of the more disappointing teams in my recent memory....

maybe this is the year...always liked koetter....but until i see some heart from them,it`s a no go.....

i`m actually going lightly with n.w.....because they look like they have some "want to".....

Nice card -- best of luck this weekend. I'm considering a play on UVA here myself, they looked very very sharp last weekend. They were one of the few teams I felt looked like they were in midseason form already.

Oklahoma St (-21) vs Tulsa

The cowboys should run all over this team. Tulsa lost its best defensive player to off the field problems. The line for Okie St is big and should open holes against this defense. Tulsa held Kansas to only 3 points in the first half however when Kansas put the starting RB in the game (Benched for disciplinary reason) the Jayhawks gained a commanding lead. The cowboys play their home opener in an new facility, and should be ready to unload on the golden boys.

Ohio St (-14.5) over Marshall

Marshall hasn't shown the type talent they have been famous for in the past. Hill has not made the plays everyone thought he would make replacing leftwhich. This team is not bad but they struggle against a strong defense (Troy st & OSU). The power of the O-line should be enough to generate runs for the buckeyes. I would look for some big passing plays if Marshall stacks the box. OSU showed they have the ability to throw an accurate deep ball. The speed of the defense will be too much, look for the defense to score in this contest.

Thanks CWood That was my mistake, I was looking at other information and typing my write-up too fast. As I said in this tread earlier I'm leaning towards Wake forest (-14.5) and I was think of it, while writing that post. Sorry

BUT

Wake (-14.5) over ECU

The Pirates have no running game and if Wake scores first this might even turn into a blow out. Wake coming off a heart breaker to Clemson, will find it easier to move the ball against this team. RB Chris Barclay, should have some long gains against this poor tackling squad. Meanwhile the Wake defense (strong at LB) should be able to contain anything ECU might try. Not a lot of home field advantage for ECU, too many lossing season, leaving fans with "no hope" syndrome. Wake won last year's meeting 34-16.

small play on Mich st (-26) over C.Mich

State is bad, but the Chippewas are terrible. Losing to Indiana by close to 30. The QB looked bad and turned the ball over a lot. In-state rivalry makes this game scary but I think Mich has to rebound. LJ Smith is too good of a coach to not have made some corrections after last weeks loss to Rutgers.
