Colorado -17 over North Texas
wow. That line is a gift for Buffalo backers. It looks like a trap play but when you break down the two teams you realize it's not.
I see the line moving up to 19 or 20 esp when they find out NT's only offense,Patrick Cobb probaly won't play on Sat.He already has a cast on his rt hand. But in the 3rd qtr of the FAU game he sprained his knee. It's to swollen to do an MRI so there waitng until tomr. That's not hopefull news esp when NT people are saying we are waiting..
NT's offense is predicated on Cobbs running. They have no air attack. It's run, run, run, play action, run, etc, etc.
FAU packed it and like I said last week. Then won 20-13 scoring in the last minute.
Colorado is 2-0 but was outplayed by Wash St on Sat.WSU had 416 total yds to Buffs 117 yds. Yet a blocked punt and a returned int gave the Buffs a 20-12 win.
Colorado offense has some problems last week. But the week before they beat Col St 27-24. They have a big time running back in Purify. He had 189 yds vs CSU but WSU stacked the line and held him to 53 yds.
Klatt the Buffs Qb is not very good with 195 yds,no Td's and 2 ints in the 1st 2 games.
But NT's defense is pretty bad.All 3 conf linebackers have graduated and Kennedy the best player in the conf are gone.Texas and FAU have over 700 yds on the ground vs the not so Mean green.
NT will have trouble moving the ball vs Colorado defense.CU offense which is ok will be able to move it vs a weak NT def.
I loved the -17 and think NT is in for a long day in Boulder sat nite.

As a CU season ticket holder I am tremendously disappointed by the Buffs play the last 6 quarters--too mnay penalities and mental mistakes--Klatt needs to step up--defense has when needed--The Big 12 North looks like a mess--CU could win this but need to put things together--they have the players--they play real hard-are on a misssion but just have not shown me they have the football common sense things to win big ones--very lacksadaisical at tmes--one part of their game is top ntoch kicking and that will help them alot--they might go all out thsi week as they have next week of to get redy for Missouri

Be careful Early consensus says 78% Colorado. So far to date when the consensus is 70% or higher they are ony right 35% of the time

Well,Cobbs is out for Saturday. Long term status is unkown. That is a devasting blow to North Texas.Moore a 5'9 soph will replace him.NT's run offense will have to pass the ball.Because CU defense is ranked 4th in rushing defense allowing under 50 yds in last 2 games.CU pass defense is another story. They have given up over 800 yds in the air the past 2 games. That was vs Wash St and Col St.Thats a lot of yds.But the matchup is the problem.NT cannot pass the ball.Hall is efficient as a passer but only in a short game attack with the run setting up the pass.
CU defense will stuff the run and make Hall pass.
That presents a big problem to a team that has one week to adjust. The OL is not that good so Hall will have big time problems.
Buffs defense scored 2 td's vs Wash St.They could score a few more on sat.
The line has moved to -19 or 20 I think. It's still a good play at that.
Also looking at Zona St pick over Iowa,FAU +2 over Mid Tenn and Ok St -34 over Smoo.

Another Steve, you were right on the line move.
Hawkeye, the Buffs have played bad.But NT defense cannot stop Purify and if Klatt can't pass with all his protection he's in trouble in the B-12.

Listened to Gary Barnett interview today--they felt they have added too many things for Klatt lately and are going back to the basics for him for thiss game and let him rolll out more

IMO

DO YOU THINK THE LINE WAS MADE WITH THE ANTICIPATION OF COBBS NOT PLAYING?

IF I MADE THE LINE I WOULD HAVE GOTTEN THAT INFO FIRST OR WINGED IT LIKE THEY DID AND TAKE IT UP AS FAR AS I COULD TO GET THE MONEY EVEN ENUFF TO GET NT COVER

I WOULD TEND TO THINK NO ONE WILL BE ON NT BUT MAYBE ME AND THE STATE OF TEX.LOL

ANYWAY GOODPICKINGS BRO

UConn +7.5 over BC *
Tough game.BC beat up Penn St and struggled with Ball St.Conn blew away weak Murray and came back to beat Duke 22-20.
This is Conn biggest game of the yr.1st in BE.They are 15-3 in last 18 games.Only 2 schools in NE.[sorry New Hampshire fans]
If Mills could move the ball on BC defense then Orlovsky could have a field day.BC is seeing its most potent offense yet in the big "O" and co.
This game means a lot more to Conn then BC.It's Conn's rivalry game, not BC's.I see it close and the Huskies with Ben Gorden and Calhoun..opps Edsall keeping this one close.
small play..saving everything for Colorado-NT

The line is Col -20.Still a good play.Glad I pounded it at -17 on Monday.
Will explain a few tomr
Like Northwestern -2.5 over Kansas
Ok St -34.5 over Smoo
Nevada -15.5 over Buffalo ....like mucho
Zona St -1.5 over Iowa...mucho,mucho
FAU +2.5 over M-Tenn
No Ill +3 over Iowa St
Troy St -9 over New Mex St
TCU +5.5 over Texas Tech
Good luck
Kalind, not sure about that line move.NT people down played Cobbs knee injury until tues.

Colorado -20 over North Texas **********[thats at -17]Knock off a few boxes at -20 buts its still the strongest play on sat.Enough said on it.W/o Cobbs and Dickey sticking to his running attack the Buffalo's with the thin air and home crowd win this by 30.NT will score 0.3,7 or 10 pts.Purify has career day.Barnett should be fired if he can't get his team up for this.

Zona St -1.5 over Iowa ****
Revenge,Walters, speed, etc,ASU hasn't beaten a decent non league team in yrs.Iowa OL and Qb are young and on the road.Iowa had trouble running the ball vs ISU.But Walters will lead them to a win.

Nevada -15 over Buffalo ****** 2nd best play.
Nevada is loaded on offense.Robinson the freshman is going to be a good rb.Kretschmer there star is back and gained 100 yds.Rowe is the qb.They did beat up a weak team last week but played La Tech tough.Pack are quicker and more athletic on both sides of the ball.Buffalo lost to the Cuse 37-17 but both td's were scored by their defense and the cuses mishaps. They have 2 qb's who are bad.Running game is avg.Buffs will have trouble playing a WAC team that is explosive. With no offense and a defense that will have problems stopping Kret and Robinson,it will be a long day.

FAU +2.5 over Middle Tenn ***
They beat Hawaii and North Texas on the road.Beat MT last yr on the road.Have 20 returning players,Allen at Qb.There faster, more athletic and Howie is doing a great job.So much depth at every position. They have 4 rb's 6 DB's and they all feel they should start.

Ok st -34.5 over Smoo **
Have beaten them the past 2 yrs by a million pts.OSU running game is great.Woods can't pass but if Smoo tries to stop the run he should have a career passing day.Smoo is missing 4 starters today.they have holes everywhere. Can't see them moving the ball vs OSU

TCU +5.5 over Texas Tech **
Would be more but Gunn has sore ribs.Cumbie will throw but I think TCU can control him.TCU backs of Hobbs and Merril should score.TT def will have matchup problems. TT dominated last week vs NM but still lost.TCU defense is better.I can see TCU winning outright.

Northwestern -2.5 over Kansas **
Like this game.Think NW wins by 10 or more.Basenez,Basanez..

NIU +3 over Iowa st **
Almost passed on this one.Big lean towards ISU because the way they played vs Iowa.Despite qb hurt, this team is talented.NIU just beat SIU but lets not forget 2 weeks ago where they lost to maryland at their place by 3.

Troy St -9 over New Mex st *****[3rd best play]
NM has no running game.Troy has a defense. They stopped Mizzou and Marshall. They should have no problem with the Aggies who are avg 46 yds on the ground. It s a conf game and Troy will win big.NM St lost to ark 63-13 and to Cal 41-14.

Houston -15.5 over Army *
Army even with Ross has some big time problems.Louisville crushed them.Same team, same mistakes. It will take Bobby longer then I expected.Coogs lyr dominated Army.Kolb should have a big day.Coogs OL out weighs Army by 30 pounds per man.Coogs are quicker everywhere.Nevels is still inconsistent .Army runs the ball more but stil makes so many mistakes.OU pounded Coogs and they have Miami on thur.Lost to Rice.

Playing the rest for small plays and a few small parlays one box * each
Cinn -3 over Cuse
UAB +23 over florida St
Maryland +6.5 over West Vir
NC St -1.5 over Ohio St
GL. again way to many.
