I really hate the constant scrolling of scores at the bottom of the screen in these football games. For one, I find it distracting. Two, with the age of cable modems most people can access the score they want in seconds. And three, it turns a 27-inch screen into a 25-inch screen, even less if you count the constant showing of the score, down, and time in the upper corner. Why dont they just start showing the on-field temperature and wind conditions in the other corner while they are at it. :cursin: I dont need to see all that information. I just want to see the game.

talking about football games, I just viewed the florida st - miami game from yesterday (taped it) since I arrived today, and I must say the two females that had the BOOKER t shirts that were in the stands (twins I think) were beyond hotness. Did anyone else catch a glimpse of them? Booker is the running back fro fla st and for thos egirl to wear shirts with his name on it....hmm.... :142hump:

Scores don't bother me too much, what bothers me more is that you have to wait like 20 minutes for the score you want to see to scroll around and get to you, then a commercial happens, you miss the score, and have to wait again.

They could shorten the whole thing if they didn't include the game stats after each score....I don't know anybody who wants to know who went 2 of 4 at bat and had 3 RBI's......or which RB had 32 carries for 85 yards.....but I do know a lot of people gawking at the screen looking for a final score between UCLA and USC or PITTSBURGH and NEW YORK.......

The only people who really pay attention to that ticker are the gamblers....

I was watching the Bears game (I believe on FOX) and the ticker was at least 15 to 20 minutes behind.

This was at a local drinking establishment, not the house. So I am at the will of the ticker, mind you while I'm drinking.

They would actually have Game Breaks to show a recent score on another game. This would give you the current score and GAME TIME. The stupid ticker in the corner wasn't even close. :142lmao:

Don't need it if the info is useless.

You can't read the numbers in the corners of the screens half the time. Is it a zero, a six, an eight, a nine OR WHAT. These are tv's hiked 20 ft off the floor with smoke in the air and liquor in my veins.

...don't really mind the ticker, especially when I am out and away from the computer.... what pisses me off is when the damn thing is wrong!!! ESPN has a nasty habit of posting the wrong scores from time to time.... :cursin:

DR. I also taped the Miami-FSU game but since I got home to see the 4th quarter and OT, I did not watch much of the tape. Approx. what time into the game did the hot twins in the Booker t-shirt show up cause I would like to check it out.

PS. I also tend to find the constant scrolling scores and stuff annoying and distracting at time. I agree that in these times, almost everyone has access to info so we don't need it junking up the tv screen.

I dont mind the scores scrolling by...but when they put up a bunch of useless stats like ...1-2 for 10 yards passing...or in baseball, 0-1 with a sacrifice, who cares...we can find out the stats later just give us the damn scores...

I saw the Booker chicks and they were unreal, i don't want to know a score unless it's a game i am going to bet at the half, and then i will be watching that and a few others on more then 1 tv, i like to put my games in and find out after game is over, i watch many teams and i can get a score anytime i want it, and it does distract you with it moving the whole time you can't help but see it moving, no i would let the Booker chicks stay on 24/7 they had to be twins one lucky guy just might get the ole switch up one day and not know it as a joke, twins do that at times
