Between Green Bay and Iowa City
NCAA YTD: 7-7 (-0.15*)
- - 2-6 ATS record in NCAA games starting after 6:30 p.m. local time (0-1 in NFL), and 5-1 in early NCAA games (4-0 in NFL). I'm not at all happy about that.

So far . . .

Iowa State(-2') over Northern Illinois (1.25*)
I seriously doubt any team of coaches and players is as hungry as ISU at this moment for the taste of any win over any Division I opponent. Some serious effort and discipline is going on in giving up 17 total points over the first two games while not favored in either matchup. ISU HC McCarney does a nice job on the sidelines in competitive games, and I believe it is reflected in his SU and ATS record in games decided by 8 points or less. NIll is without stud QB Haldi and next on tap for them is a Friday night hosting of Bowling Green (which ended their undefeated season last year). Even at home, I would not wager on a third big effort in a row from the hungry Cyclones IF they were basking in rich rewards from the first two efforts, but they haven't accomplished shit.

Clemson(Pk)(-108) over Texas A&M (1.25*)
- I believe Clemson is 9-1 SU under HC Bowden after a loss of 7 points or less. After the Bowden family tragedy, I believe that to a man the players and coaches believe they let themselves and each other down last week, and they have designs on getting it right this week.

ADDING:

Minnesota(-3')(-108) over Colorado State (1*)
- No can believe this is a good matchup for Colorado State or a bad spot for Minnesota.

Oregon(+28)(-108) over Oklahoma (1*)
- I was back and forth on pulling the trigger on this 98 degree scorcher in Norman, but the ledger was tipped when I tripped over ATS trends from MJ member stagger lee showing Oklahoma (prior to this year) at 2-7 as a September home favorite, 12-29-1 as a home favorite of more than 21 points, and 3-7 hosting the Pac 10.

Notre Dame(-3) over Michigan State (1*)
- Going with a game involving two teams I've read correctly to date. Looking for Notre Dame to somehow emerge (a better start would probably not hurt) with a stout effort.

NOW comes prime time. :banghead:

If the day was shaping up with any potential, I was committed to a late parlay - I wish the Oregon play was favorably resolved - nevertheless -

PARLAY for 0.50* @ 7/1:
- Notre Dame(-3) w/ USC (-26') w/ Army (+16)

Clemson is not ready for prime time - what a totally ordinary team that I had overrated from Day 1 . . . Some television viewing can be misleading, but it provides me with a crucial frame of reference in my handicapping studies. I sure understand now how Georgia Tech got smoked by North Carolina.
