argggg!!!! help me out ray. was just sitting here thinking the rangers might be worth a go. angels have hit lefties pretty well on the road, but they lose a little punch tonight. jeff davalon, guillen's probable replacement, is 3 for 20 vs lefties this year, with no extra base hits, no rbis and 7 k's; plus, he's never seen rogers.. that's qute a trade down from guillen, who was hitting about .350 against lefties. also, the rangers have that awesome record in arlington, and have beaten the angels 4 of 6 there this year. that's usually my kind of dog.
also like expos as a nice home dog. braves eliminated the fish yesterday, so i expect some hangover from that. marlins have lost 6 straight, and 7 of the last 10 vs montreal. becket, for some unknown reason, is pitching on 3 days' rest, and patterson just pitched a career high 8 innings against fla 2 weeks ago, holding them to 6 hits and 2 runs.
finally, like the cards as a dog in houston. woody is from houston and always pitches well there, lifetime 7-2, 2.79 era in minute maid park. also, rolen is supposed to be back tonight. also, as pointed out in ie's thread, biggio's playing hurt and so is oswalt. neither one would probably be playing tonight if not for the astros situation, which can only be described as bleak wih the cubbies and giants both ahead of them.
