AU +2' vs Davy Crockett

This should be an instant classic. Best game of the yr so far IMO. TN has surprised the hell out of me this yr. This Ainge kid should re-write the VOL and SEC record books by the time his time is up. Here are some of TN's stats in the SEC so far:

#2 scoring offense 38pts
#1 Punting
#1 Passing Efficiency
#1 Rushing Off
#1 Total Off

Pretty damn impressive on the Off side of the ball, but lets face it neither auburn nor TN have played that tough a schedule so far. TN should have lost to UF and Auburn got real lucky against lsu. TN hasnt played a defense as good as AU and AU sure hasnt played an Off anywhere close to TN. The punting stat above is as important as any. Lots of people expect a shootout here, but i dont. Field position and turnovers will decide this game. TN will also have revenge on their minds after last yrs loss on the plains. AU's Off is like night and day when compared to last yr. I am really impressed with Borges and his offense calling and coaching. We all know about AUs rushing attack with neither RBs having a breakout game as of yet, this could spell trouble for a young TN defense. I will be the 1st to tell you that QB Campbell is no top flight QB. This is obvious, but he is a Senior and 4 yrs of experience is something u cant teach. Look for TE Wallace to catch some balls over the middle to open it up for WR Taylor on some deep balls. Everyone said that our defense would struggle after losing 7 key players on D( 4 to NFL). What give up on size and experience, we make up with speed and agility. No big name guys(as of yet) but keep an eye on these young LBs. Our Sec has been around the block with Rosegreen, Rogers, Herring, and Pitts. They have a tendency to get beat once a game, but usually make up for it it the long run. When one looks at the coaching, you have two great recruiters, and two terrible game coaches IMO. Tubbs has yet to roll the dice this yr, hopefully he has realized that "Gambling" will get you nowhere in the long run. I really hope the zebras dont turn this game, pls let the players decide it. I see a real close ball game, but i am backing the team with the better running game, stronger defense, and a Senior laden QB and Secondary. If AU offensive line doesnt show up they will lose! Instant ESPN classic.

Congrats on a great year so far -- like the Tigers this weekend (AU and LSU), and agree on Ark -- good luck again!

Hawgs +8' vs Zook

As i have stated this yr i think Ark is the most under-rated team in the SEC. We will find out for sure this week. I think the SECW will be decided during the ARK vs AU game. You may laugh at this, but i think Matt Jones is the best Athlete in the SEC.He is having a hell of year and i look for this to continue. Ark lost tons of talent to Jail and the NFL, but they are and always will be deep. Excellent O line, Rbs, Wrs and QB. I see them winning S/U. UF has not been the team i thought they were going to be. I know it is still early and they should have won at UT, but the performance against UK was far from stellar. Leak through 3 picks against UK? I was sold on him being SEC player of the yr, not anymore. No way RB Fason shreds up the hogs like he did the cats. UF's defense is not as good as it has been, after LB Crowder they drop off dramatically. The best thing about UF is (shock) their WRs. Maybe not NFL type WRs, but very good college Wrs. They are all capable of breaking one. I really like Ark's defense in this matchup and think it gets them the "W" in the swamp.

MW...My thoughts on LSU vs GA is a slight lean to LSU. GA has been very slack so far this yr and by no means looks like the #3 team in the land. Saban will have his troops ready. i see a defensive struggle in this one and i will prolly take the Under. Vandy vs State, well both head coaches are looking for their first SEC win, th eonly difference is vandy had a yr to do it last year. IMO Vandy is looking to get out of the cellar in the SEC, being replaced by Old Mrs and State. I dont know if Vandy has ever been a double digit favorite in SEC play. You would have to pay me to watch this game. I think State QB Conner is hurt and the Kyle York will get the start. Advantage...PUSH. Final score Vandy 6 State 3

war,

Really concerned with TENN this weekend. Our D has looked impressive but there offensive is on fire right now. I do however agree with you on possibly a low scoring game. There D has given up a good number of points even against some weaker teams, but what can our offense put up. I really think our D should be ready for this team. I know Chizik has been looking at them for 2 weeks and this game will come down to Auburn's D. Still looking at it, and waiting to hear from TT at tigertalk. let you know what i think later in the week.

Interesting thing about Auburn is supposedly we have only seen 50% of the offense. Borges was to implement the other 50% this week for UT. What this means is that the motion we all saw Auburn run against LSU will like take the back seat to a more conservative look. Toughest challenge will be the noise. Auburn hasn't seen Neyland Stadium in 5 years and last time they blanked us 24-0. Highly doubt Campbell will be ale to audible effeciently with 100,000+ drunkards singing Rocky Top. Ronnie Brown sat out agianst the Citadel last and I expect nothing less than a fantastic game from him in Knoxville. Auburn's D-Line has played well so far but must get more pressure to the QB. Somewhat worried about UT being able to run the ball. Good news for Auburn is we don't have many guys banged up, while LB Simon is out for UT. Look for a big game from 6'5" 240 lb WR Anthony Mix, it takes more that an arm to bring this guy down. And as wareagle said I'll take a 5th year QB over a freshman any day of the week.

Auburn +2'

I agree with everybody on the Auburn threads. Also, au999, who is one of my fraternity brothers, but has no idea what he's talking about, brings up a good point(just kidding Blake). Borges has only shown about 50% of the offense thus far, and I believe it's actually less than that. We showed a lot of motion against LSU and it kept them off balance for much of the game. I would look for that even more against UT. The field position and mistakes will be the keys of the game, much like against LSU. Campbell will not be able to audible with the noise, but I don't think that's a bad thing because every time he audibles, it's to a run and everybody in the stadium knows it. I think Auburn's running game will be the key to the game because that opens up everything else in the offense, and if Campbell has early success, he will only get better. Borges has said that he has packeges in this week to get Mix the ball and he is an absolute freak. Look for Auburn to open up the game throwing a lot more than everybody thinks, because Borges is going to be going to 4 and 5 wide receiver sets early. I think Auburn wins this game straight up in a 10-7 game, because Auburn knows how important this game is towards their goal of the SEC championship game. If they get past UT this weekend look out because the only other real test we have is Georgia.
