Sitting here at work, singing along to Bob Seger's, "Turn the Page" and I was wondering what folks think are the best "live" songs.

"I want you to want me" by Cheap Trick comes to mind(Hell, the whole damn album) also.

Oh another one, Skynard's "Free Bird".

Okay, I'm done.

On the course!
Frampton's "Do You Feel Like We Do?" is one of the all-time biggies. (I find it very odd that a guy puts out a live album, and no one ever heard a song from any of his studio shit!?)

Elton John's "Benny and the Jets" is another huge success story.

I always liked BOC's "Godzilla", but no one has played that in 15 years.

"Golden Country" from REO is a good cut.

Speaking of Cheap Trick, "Aint That a Shame" gets my nod.

I will remember more later.

Metallica > Seek and Destroy

Bob Dylan/Guns 'n' Roses > Knockin' on Heaven's Door

These are the 2 that I can think of right away that totally rocked with crowd participation live.

Also... Aerosmith > Walk This Way

Jackyl > Lumberjack (don't laugh, this was so good live, lol)

I'll probably think of a few more later.

So true!

I remember I was a freshman in high school and this hot junior lived upstairs(apartment complex). All I did was play "Frampton Comes Alive" every day when I got home with the windows wide open. I thought it was cool! I'm thinking, maybe if I'm cool she'll think to her self "Hey that freshman down stairs knows his music, I'll bang him!" We pass on the sidewalk and she's says, "Boy, you really like Peter Frampton don't you?" I"m like uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh yeah. She says, "Could you turn it down some, I don't really care for him."

Well, it was back to KISS after that! Biatch!!!!

I haven't really listened to rock music in about five years, but the two that I always find myself cracking up the volume when they come on the radio are:

KISS- "Rock n' Roll All Night" and Areosmith- "Dream On"

I've actually heard two different live versions of both those songs, KISS from Alive! and Alive III, and Aerosmith from "Classics Live" and the other from that MTV special when they had the symphony playing behind them. Awesome stuff.

"Don't Come Around Here No More" Tom Petty

"Won't Get Fooled Again" The Who (almost anything by The Who Live)

Seger, Old time "rock and roll" sick of the song, but live is the only way to listen to it.

and boy this could get me in trouble. Neil Diamond, "Hello Again" seen him 5 or 6 times in concert hell of a show. A lot of good selections here.

Peace,
LL
