"My first thing is to apologize to the corps,to the people on post at West Point,to our fans, and even to the troops."
This is Bobby 1st statement at his press conf a few minuts after UConn beat Army 40-3.
Bobby, wake up.I'm sure your a good coach and Berry left you with very little in the cupboard. But you don't have the "horses" to stay with the UConns and Louisville's. Granted some of your players looked like they quit during the game on Sat.But these kids havn't won a game since 2002.
Your defense is dead last in the NCAA's at 117th.Your offense is playing better and I'm sure they will get better.
But you don't need to make a statement like that.Maybe its a part of your pysche to get them up for TCU.Some of the players agreed with your statements and that in itself shows what kind of kids your dealing with.
I have faith in you as a coach and believe you will make Army football better.
But you don't need to apologize for their poor play.Esp. in public. There are 8 kids from lyr's team in places like Fallugah,Bagdad, etc.
Those kids didn't win a game for two yrs.The troops aren't embarrased by their leaders over there in Iraq because of a loss to Conn.
Use your words more wisely. You did blame yourself about not having your team prepared, etc. That showed some class.

Enough of my lecturing...

Box,

I agree with almost all of your plays. One I do not however is Air Force. Could you please expand on your reasoning if you get a chance. Thanks in advance.

I placed a bet on MTSU without waiting for your input, because it looked like it would drop to 2.5. I am relieved to see you're on the same side. How strong of a play would you make it?

I'm here in Dallas and I love that Boise play - haven't seen many others on it. Also like UT minus the huge number. Baylor has to be pleased with themselves after ripping a team that beat them 52-14 last year. But this is not the same UNT team - not even close.

UAB looks like a winner.

Re TCU - have you kept up with TCU's injuries? Lots of problems at QB and WR, and I don't know whether the long snapper will be back.

Best of luck.

Thanks for info on Army....like the play even more now. Players usually respond to coach's blowouts unless they hate his guts...we'll see. TCU defense has been getting "ripped" every week...somethings wrong there. Too much chalk here as the pressure will be on TCU not to be that team to break the losing streak.

TCU has so much more quickness esp on defense.Army cannot pass the ball.Nevels was benched on Sat and Silva came in.They were 11-27 for 114yds.There is no pass protection. They cannot run option because their qbs aren't option players.Dahman might play.He has more fumbles and int's then td's. But he's 6'0 and weighs about 170 pounds. His ass is so damn skinny. He can't do anything in practice.Silva might play.Ross isn't telling anyone who will start.
Regardless of how bad TCU is playing they play pressure defense. And they are so much quicker.Army will have trouble scoring.Lyr they were shutout 27-0.TCU did lose some big time players on the DL but they do return 7 starters back on defense. On offense TCU has enough firepower to score vs the last ranked team in the US.
We need a cold, cold november day to keep this close. It will be in the high 50's or 60's on sat.A beautiful day on the Hudson.

MW..really like MT over NT.
superbear..Navy is 3-14 in Colorado Springs.AF is 20-4 Su but Navy is 8-4 ats in last 12.

Marshall -7 over Miami * small play
Herd gets it revenge from lyr.Marshall has never lost to an East Div team at home in the MAC.Miami has had 14 turnovers in a 2-2 season.Herd is 0-3 but held Georgia to a low scoring game.
Remember a few yrs ago. This was the game the herd fans ran out on the field and Miami asst coaches lost their jobs swinging.
Think Hill and co take it out on Red hawks.Maimi ats record vs Marshall is good. But Marshall has never been 0-3. Small play *[ half a box]

Rutgers Leonard might not play vs the Cuse. That is a big loss.Be back later to explain.

Air Force+2 over Navy..line has now changed to AF -1.5 ***

Loved it as soon as I saw the line on monday or tues.Everyone knows both teams running attack. Both teams rank 109th and 115th in passing. You guess which is better.
Navy is 4-0 knocking off Duke and Vandy. They beat Tulsa but just got by Northeastern 28-24.
AF played 2 teams in the top 15 and got plastered by Cal and Utah. But in the Utah game they scared them a little.
AF has played the better comp.
Lyr Navy finally beat AF and won the CIC trophy 28-25. And since that AF loss they have won only 4 of last 10 games beating Army,UNLV twice and EMU.not to impressive for Deberry flyboys.
Navy has Eckeil,Polanco etc.But AF qb lyr Harridge couldn't throw the ball in the last 5 or 6 games.Everyone put 8 guys in the box and stopped AF run attack.Harridge was awful.
But tonite a super frosh qb named Carney is better then Harridge ever was.
Shaffer is a poor mans Eckeil.I think AF will be able to outscore Navys off. in the 6,800 thin air.
Navys kicking game has some problems.Vandy put 8 guys in the box and Polanco had a good passing game.AF will do a little of both.AF defense has given up 23 td's already. But many were by Cal and Utah. But Navy is 3-14 in Boulder.
Navy ats record is great vs AF.
In AF's trophy showcase were the trophy was the past 7 or 8 years AF has a picture of Navy guys polishing the trophy. So for the past 4 weeks when the flyboys walk by the empty showcase thats all they see..midshipmen posing around the CIC .
Plus when Navy won in the houston bowl lyr they has CIC champs engraved on their rings. Ouch..
In the thin air with a dangerous frosh qb Af gets in trophy back.No way Deberry loses 2 in a row.

Conn -6.5 over Pitt **
Orluvksy,OL,defense, playing at home..Pitt just got by Furman. But there playing on the road for the ist time.Conn looked great vs Army but got sidewhacked by BC and struggled vs Duke.Pitt is in trouble tonite.Conn wants to win big and Orluvsky will get all the protection in the world tonite. And their running game will keep Pitt off balance..

Tonite its Bush's Air National Guard over Kerry's Swift Boaters.
I hope the hell Bushs airboys show up because he was missing for a few months back in Alabama.
