Mjalam,
Hopefully that Pierce Brosnan looking dude
and his wife(who looks like she should be on
the Jerry Springer show)
aren't causing trouble around the Angels bullpen area tonight.
Might want to bring a shield or something for protection just in case.
:)

GO ANGELS!!!!

I have 2 HUGE future wagers on the Angels winning the world series. I need the Angels to get into the playoffs first!

Angels to win WS!
$1000 to win $20,000
$1000 to win $10,000

Also have...

Red Sox to win WS!
$1000 to win $6500

It be pretty sweet to get both Angels and Sox in the playoffs especially if they do not play each other in 1st round.

I was really bummed when Angels blew their 1 game lead by losing their last game of season and A's hitting game winning homer in 9th. Guess I gotta sweat these next 3 days out!

GO ANGELS!!!!!!!!

I assume you are talking about Garretts play at home plated....he slid over bat and slid into bag and tie goes to runner...also....Bartolo was hitting the corners and umps were consistent with that....your players just didnt want to swing at some of those pitches...Bartolo totally shut down the A's offense with a nice low pitch count and the Angels bats sent Mulder packing once again...the game was a blowout so please dont blame this one on the umps...I know you arent happy right now so dont take offense to this but it just sounds like you might be mad cuz Oakland got trampled....anyways....still 2 games to go so dont start worrying too much buddy...Lets see what Zito can do tomorrow...good luck to you

also when Scutaro screwed up that double play(score was already 8-0)...he came at least 3 feet off the bag before he turned that throw to first...Didnt see a whole lot of BS IMO but then again I am obviously a bit biased towards my Angels but usually call it like I see it whether or not it is for or against my team

Dont be sorry bro I see where you are coming from......I was watching the whole game and some of those pitches might have been close or so but the players need to get that lumber of their shoulders if they havea 2 strike count...anyways regardless I think the Fat Slob was on and your offense was just not on tonight...and you are right that play at the plate could have gone either way and it did change the momentum early on...anyways...I guess we will see what happens with Escobar and Zito.....good luck bro

LIGHT THE HALO!!!!!!!!

Just one more game to go! :)

Does anybody know how the playoffs work? Assuming the Angels beat the A's, I do not want them playing the Red Sox in round one. Is there any chance the Angels could play the Sox in 1st round? I would guess "not" since the Red Sox are the wildcard team and doesn't the wildcard team have to play the team with the #1 record? That team would be the Yankees, correct? Or am I wrong?

Scott,

Assuming the Twins have a better record than the AL West champs, they will play Boston first. The rule is that the wild card plays the best record, UNLESS they come from the same division. Then the wild card faces the best record of the other two teams. So Boston will play either the Twins or Angels in the first round, depending on who has a better record. If I were the Twins, I'd tank the last two games. Boston seems far more dangerous than NYY in a short series.
