Stoney is too smart to just fly off the handle like that. I have heard a lot of interviews etc involving Stoney and have heard a lot of people try to bait him. He is very eloquent and everything that comes out of his mouth is thought out. The fact that he ripped Baker in the post game show also tells me he had his thoughts and words were chosen for a reason. The outfit that collects all those beautiful dollars from the lemmings that fill that park will not have any dissension in it's ranks. Stoney and his color man Chip Carey will most likely both be gone.

I heard through the grapevine that Chip is heading to Atlanta to join Skip next season. Wouldn't be surprised if Stone wanted to move on anyway with Chip leaving. He won't be out of a job for long.

Sounds like a lot of problems with the Cubs -- those Sosa quotes are pretty inflammitory, and it sounds like he showed up for yesterdays game ten minutes before the game and left right after the game started according to survalence cameras in the stadium.

im glad chip is gone. Stoney is the man though. he is the best color analyst in the game, the cubs would be stupid to get rid of him . what are they gonna do, replace him with Joe Carter again?? that was aweful. Stone basically was telling it like it is. Dusty's job is to coach his team and Stone's is to entertain the fans.
