under 10 (+105)

pitching matchup is pretty mediocre. no secret there, so im not gonna try and convince myself or anyone else that these guys will be throwing into the 7th or 8th innings. but throw in some coast-to-coast travel (something that doesnt come into play in the other 3 series) and a quicker turnaround than normal (afternoon game on east coast after night game on west coast) and i think we might just see some better pitching. i dont have umpire stats or info, but ANY strikezone today has got to be better than the zone that colon and pedro dealt with in game 2. anaheim's in desperation mode, so escobar should be gone at the first sign of trouble. one thing i DO like about arroyo is that he doesnt put unnecessary runners on base. his control is very good. call it 5-3 with boston putting anaheim down for the dirt nap.

Gman,

Good luck to you, I am on the other side of this one and feel pretty strongly about the over. Escobar and Arroyo don't have the strongest ERA's and look at their stats. This one will be a hitter's game, I can't see less than 12 runs. My prediction 8-6 Boston.

Really like this one, too, gman!! Here is how I am playing it:

4 units (-125) No score in the 1st--scores in the first have been seen in the majority of playoff games thus far. Don't think that is likely to continue. Let's hope the strikezone is wide early.

3 units (-115) Under 5.5 for first 5 innings

3.8 units (+115) Under 10 for GM.

I've got alot tied up in this one, but I am confident this will be a low scoring affair, even though the current trend is overs.

Good Luck to All,

-JC

Unbelievable! Taking my winnings on that first inning no run (not even that was easy!) and will place it on the NY/Minn Under. If I'm going to go down I am going to go down holding true to my belief that this shit has got to end, and soon. A true glutton for punishment, I am.

Just played one more wager.

3.5 units (+110) NYY/Minn Under 9.5

Silva has been really good of late and he has pitched his best at home this year. No playoff experience, but neither had Arroyo and he was impressive today. We all know that Brown is capable of shutting a team down and even though he is gutting through his injury, I'm looking for the cagy veteran to put on a fine performance tonight.

Good Luck to All,

-JC

Well JC, I'm off the under for tonight because I think the yankees may score a lot, so that means Im sure it'll come in since I'm off it, good luck tonight
