I like these games so far, any input would be appreciated.

West Virginia -6.5 uconn is overrated and will finnally face a real running game

Texas A&M +7

Ohio St +2 There not playing well right now but Iowa is nothing special this year

Auburn -13 They might be the best team in the country. Can anyone really stop their running game?

Whyoming +7.5

Arizona st +11 Seems like too many points for this offense

Virginia/Fla st. Under 46.5 This should be a tight Defensive battle

NC. State/Maryland Under 45

CaL/UCLA Over 56.5

Central Mich +20 I dont think No. Illinois deserves to be laying a number like this to anyone right now

Stanford +1 Better Team

Wisconsin / Purdue Under 46.5 no wisky game has gone over 40 yet this season there D is too Strong

South Carolina -10 Need to prove that the ole miss loss was a fluke, and Kentucky is just that bad

UTEP -4 Odds makers are starting to catch up with them but this number is too low

Boise St -21 Explosive offense and average D vs. A pathetic Tulsa team

Dave, Kentucky has no D whatsoever look at their last few games.
Home loss 28-16 to ohio, home loss 45-17 to an undermaned alabama team that isnt that good.
You dont think Holtz will have his kids ready for murder after that big loss last week
Looks like a kentucky team that is ready to call it a season already if you ask me.

I'll be with you on some of these plays! One word of warning, as much as I think Nebraska could beat a high school team by 22 they are coming off that embarrassing loss to Texas Tech. Baylor plays to the final whistle at home, but in their 2 away games they have given up toward the end. Against Texas they lost by 30 and UAB they lost by 42! Texas would have been worse but the longhorns were looking ahead to Oklahoma. STILL Nebraska is not good IMO but that's why it is a no play for me, but just throwing my 2 cents at you.

First, Ohio State is a 2.5 point favorite at Iowa, not the other way around. And while my Hawkeyes may not be "anything special" this season, a weak Ohio State team with a over-matched QB will get chewed up and spit out by a quickly improving Iowa squad.
The offensive line, which has been the biggest question mark of the season for Iowa, is settling down and starting to get the job done upfront.
Our own first year starting QB, Drew Tate has settled in as well and is not making some of the poor decisions he had earlier in the year. This kid is going to be a really good QB in a couple of years--I just hope we continue to have the tough defenses and a decent running game to complement him.
Granted, we are down to our 4th string running back in Nebraska transfer Marcus Simmons(from right here in davenport), but he was 4th string only because of off the field problems unrelated to football. He has also looked much better than Jermelle Lewis did before suffering a torn ACL two weeks ago against Michigan State.
Only reason I'm not playing Iowa for a huge amount is our history under Ferentz coming off bye weeks isn't all that great.
But as long as the Buckeyes keep sending Zwick out there, I'll be going against them.
Besides, you have a ranked team on the road as a favorite--thats a receipe for disaster anyway you cut it.
Good luck if you play the Buckeyes.....

I agree with Redsfann. Iowa is tough as nails at home and even tougher when they are underdogs and lost to the team the prior year. Ask Michigan... Anyhow, Iowa's offense has made a lot of progress. Simmons didn't get a Nebraska scholarship for nothing. This kid is the best RB on the Iowa squad. Lewis was over hyped and didn't show up this season. Granted Simmons is all Iowa has left at RB. Yet, Tate is going to the shotgun more which he is most comfortable with. He only used the shotgun in high school where he holds about every Texas passing record there is. That is a feat in itself. The Oline got back Ferentz last week and it showed. They are making a lot of progress. The defense looks sharper now that defensive coordinator Norm Parker is out of the hospital and back to work. The defense showed against ASU that they can not play without him! If OSU keeps playing like they have the past two games, Iowa will win this game!

thanks irish i will stay away from baylor, your right you really dont ever know what type of team is going to show up with them, just dont think a bill callahan team is coached well enought to cover that spread if baylor does come to play.

Redsfan- I missed iowa's last game against msu but have seen alot of them so far this season. Do you really think they have improved that much? The iowa team i have seen so far this season has really struggled to move the ball. Figuring they lost lewis who i agree with you was not impressive so far this season i think they will struggle to move the chains. But it does appear they had alot of good drives against msu. Your probaly right playing against iowa at home isnt very smart. Im going to do alittle more research before i decide wheather to play them or not.
Thanks for the help guys

Nice to see you Cornfed, and welcome to Madjacks. You a resident of the Hawkeye State? When I see "Cornfed" I think of Cal Eldred, currently a pitcher for the Cardinals, who was given that nickname by his Brewers' teammates when he came to the majors after a nice career as an Iowa Hawkeye. He grew up in Center Point, a small town outside of Cedar Rapids...but you probably know all that...lol. Go Hawks!

Treynolds-

As cornfed mentioned, the offensive line got starting Center Brian Ferentz, the coachs' son, back from an ACL injury last week. He first hurt his knee early last season, then developed an infection that set him back until last week. He is truly the anchor of that unit and their play two weeks ago against MSU was leaps and bounds better than it was against ASU in Tempe.
Also, while the score may have shown a big Michigan win in Ann Arbor over the Hawkeyes, it is a bit decieving when you realize that Iowa turned the ball over 4 times, all on Iowa's side of the field, leading to 27 of Michigan's 30 points.
If Iowa takes care of the ball, shuts down Ohio State's running game--and there is no reason to think that we won't as no one has run the ball effectively on us all season-- and forces Zwick to put the ball in the air for them to have a chance to win, then look for Iowa to come out on top.
Hope this helps, and Go Hawks!!

Ohio State- I have seen all the Badger games this season and thought that the Buckeyes were the worst opponent they have played this year. Think the defense will wear down like they did last week.
The Buckeyes have no running game what so ever and their defensive is not as talented as seasons past. Iowa is improving and the points are looking very good to me right now. As far as the Wisconsin under the Badgers have not played a good passing team all year. In the past they have had problems with spread offenses. Even during their last Rose Bowl season Purdue threw for over 400 yards. The Badgers have beaten Purdue 3 of the last 4 times they have played them but have given up huge yardage to them. The turnovers have been a big factor in the last 4 times these teams have played. Wisconsin actually has a lot of offensive weapons but is lacking a big time QB. Purdue's defense not as good as years past. I would be cautious on playing the under in this game. Good luck on your plays this weekend.
