......still dont know how that clown got my number, but i was in traffic today, and figure the longer i could tie him up the less time he would have to "sham" someone else out of their hard earned money, and being a salesman myself, I knew how to "play his game" since i realized in teh first 30 seconds this guy was "green behind the ears" and was reading from a script. So after a few minutes I get a price out of him and my jaw about hit the floor of my truck--he quoted me $21,000 for Wayne Root's NBA/NCAA hoop picks. Yea, $21,000, not $21 dollars, $210 dollars, not even $2100 dollars, 21 DIMES. :scared :scared :scared :scared
I laughed so hard i almost cried. What was crazy was I started playing the "im a broke college student that only bets $20-$50 a game" card (although im not) to see what i could get him down to and within 15 minutes I had everything Root had to offer Football included, thru March Madness including hoops for $1000. I got what he was offering for 1/20 of the price he started out at--that guy was a HORRIBLE salesman.
As soon as I told him id take the picks for $1000, he asked me if id be paying for it with VISA or MC, and i said hold on, let me see and hung up :142lmao: :142lmao: :142lmao: :142lmao: my phone must have rung the next 20 mins straight from that bafoon. But what i realized is I really feel sorry in a way for the uneducated that pay what they initial ask for their picks--21 DIMES, that is just absurd!!!...........anyway, just thought id share my afternoon commute humor today........ :142lmao:
