i played johnny damon for few dollars. a couple of reasons:

* damon struggling in this series, but for as much hitting as the yankees have done in this series, jeter only has 3 hits. plus, damon hit the shit out of the ball vs anaheim so its only a small slump anyway.

* jeter, being the quintessential team player, is always willing to lay down a sacrifice bunt or see a lot of pitches and work a walk. thats great for his team, but not sure if hes a good guy in a prop bet

* this betcom line offers so much value when compared to the line olympic is dealing on this game. olympic has damon FAVORED at -125 while jeter lays (-105). actually had to double check it to make sure i wasnt misreading.

no clue who wins this game, which is why i tried a prop

my book has matsui against damon.
i played jeter vs. damon last nite and took jeter. my book counts only hits(single=1, double=2 and so on. the only problem with damon is he has just looked lost at the plate.

Gman, I like the prop. Also take a look at
NY/Bos run scored in the 1st inning - No -125

Mussina and Martinez have done very well, not only in their career but especially this year, at getting the quick outs in the first. Since I found this prop, I've been killing it with these 2 pitchers.
