Reason #1 Bush cant get above 48% approval
and he's a known quantity. Undecideds always go to challenger.
Reason #2 Democratic Registration of new voters outnumbers Republicans by almost 8 or 9 to 1. Should give Dems some of the states they lost closely in 2000. And as i have said for a long time
the future of the Republican Party is dim. This coming generation will be largely Democratic as most are not reaping the rewards their fathers did. Even now if every elligible voter voted.....Republicans would get slaughtered. The Uninsured, the unemployed, the underemployed will not vote for Bush...and those numbers are growing daily. Republicans are deathly afraid of any attempts to make voting mandatory as they well know the outcome. Their hopes ride on low turnouts, their Fundamentalist Christian base ,
toothless "lets kick some ass Rednecks", and the cadre of betwetting pansies that think George will protect them. One repeating refrain i get from reservists coming back is..if you want tro show your support for our troops ...........enlist asshole !!!!!!!!!!! so we dont have to serve 2 and 3 tours of duty ...but the bedwetters are all talk and no balls.but as someone here posted even in our House of Government those who served their nation are predominatly Democrats...the Republicans like Dick Chaney didnt think "Serving his Country Was a High Priority" and Mr Bush who hid behind a Liquor Rack when his nation called..in between cheerleading and wet towel snapping in the shower.
What a Man!!!!!!!!
George Bush's 2nd test of leadership and courage came when the first of the twin towers was hit on 9-11 ..instead of scrambling jets or getting on the phone he .and this is a direct quote from him when asked by Bill O'Reily and Larry King..."I was gathering my thoughts" Real good Nitwit!!!
When John Kerry's defining moment came it took him a split second to turn his boat around to save a comrade and a split second to beach his boat under enemy fire. It scares the hell out of me to think that when the day comes a 2nd time when some terrorist is slicing up one of your loved ones George will collect his thoughts lose control of his bladder and pass out.
The choice is yours Warrior or Pansy!!!!!!!!!!!
And dont give me any shit about Kerry's courage...I know what its like to face imminent death in combat. To Bush this is a Nintendo game. When u see death on the battlefield close up it changes u. It changed me and it changed John Kerry. You dont enter conflicts and put the fruit of your nation in harms way lightly or unprepared. John Kerry has in him the wisdom of facing an enemy close up. Mr, Bush has the wisdom extracted from a bottle for 40 years. And he couldnt win the battle of the bottle for 40 years. A God and a woman had to coerce him. Sounds like a Pansy to me. If he was next to me in a foxhole I would "Frag" him.

Although I would rather see Kerry win because Bush is not competent to lead this country, you have to be realistic and open your eyes as Kerry with todays polls has lost the lead in nine of the battle ground states. Unless he has a massive turnout from folks whom do not have phones that cannot be reached by pollsters then the odds of Kerry winning are slim as I wouldn't be surprised if Kerry only wins around 12 states and only garners about 180 Electoral Votes.

Very true statement--hammer

If you could get them out the the bars--off the street corners and out of prison you'd have an over wheming majority.--and yes the #'s are getting stronger.

MC I can't figure why Kerry has got away from economic issues and is turning attention to terrorist and war.Maybe to head off upcoming ads but I think it is big mistake by his camp.

I find your anolgy on states Kerry wins interesting. Pinnacle had over/under on states at 19 for Kerry and just taken down a few days ago.Had been wanting to fire on it all along but these big swings had me a little timid and held off--also I thought maybe my emotions were tainting my view . Had I seen your stance would have went a little--will let you know if they put it back up.

Of course we would get slaughtered if everyone voted. Only 30% of Americans claim to be Republican. Isn't it great though that we own the White House and will do so once again?? It's because we are STRONG and we don't act like whining crying finger-pointing pussies! I love a great underdog story.

I believe its supposed to be "In my heart".... at any rate maybe that seasoned Warrior Bill Clinton may help the Veteran Kerry turn the tide. Just make sure the voter's have plenty of crack, ballots in Spanish, a free bowl of soup & a cot, etc.

Dogs,

I think you have a solid play at under 19 if you can get that line as Ireally don't see Kerry carrying many of the swing states although the unknown is whom all these newly registered voters are going to vote for if they do vote. The only swing state that I can see Kerry winning is Pennsylvania as he will not win Ohio and Florida. I agree with you on Kerry turning away from the economy as this is his strong suit along with health care as both of these issues have been tanked by Bush and I really do not see either situation improving under his stewardship. I hate going back to a theme that I have been harping on but it is quite amazing in a country the size of ours that we are faced with voting for two individuals that IMO are incompetent to be president of anything! Bush has been a flop as President and I cant see giving this guy four more years of the same shit as he has no new ideas just vague sketches and false promises but on the other hand I cant see Kerry doing much better. I hate this two party system as it leads to nothing new but the same old crap that has not worked for years as I am so open to someone with some fresh ideas that actually has a vision. How anyone can say Bush has a vision is beyond me, we all saw the debates and the guy stuttered and stammered with vague promises but nothing new and really showed that he lacks intelligence to be the head of the most powerful country in the world and although I am sure that Kerry is much more brighter than Bush he failed to offer anything new that was actually a feasible plan. The main reason I am voting for Kerry is that I feel if you give Bush four more years he will financially cripple this country for the next twenty years as I don't buy all this crap about who will be stronger on terrorism as I feel whomever is President no matter what party will be equally as Strong on that issue because of 9/11 the American public will demand it.

Charles,
The two party system has become stale with no fresh or new ideas and also discourages qualified people whom are more competent to run for election due to the financial domination created by the two party system. Please in the future don't waste your effort to even question or address me as I find your post to be one thing consistently inflammatory and I could really care less about your babbling thoughts. Your just as bad as your counterpart whom post negative crap about Bush all day although I can't recall his name.

Wasn't even your thread Master Capper besides last I checked this is an open forum. If you're going to make political statements you better be able to handle someone questioning them. I know it's tough debating Manson but you shouldn't be such a pussy about it.

Kosar I backed down to I LOVE WRs bet because I don't trust him. Would you? You think he'd really pay me $10,000?
When I offered to bet him "a reasonable amount" he disappeared!

Why Kosar? you up for a wager??????

I know...I offered to have Ferdville hold the $10,000 but after I suggested that I LOVE WR vanished. Go read the thread it's pretty funny. I even tried to reduce the wager amount in hopes of finding a taker but no dice.

Why would I Love Lucy make a straight wager of any amount when he can get odds at any book that handles the election? I also never heard back from him on "his" handicapping challenge. It looks like Charles would be outsmarting him by getting himself an even money bet when he would have to lay money anywhere else.
