joe torre said at the end of game 6 what scares me most is bostons momemtum. here we are game 4 in the world series and boston has reeled off 7 straight wins. where is st.louis ? has anyone figured out that they won 100+ games on primarily offense. we have seen the pitching is just average and boston is keyed in. game 3 was the opportunity for st.louis to get back into the series and the shodding baserunning basically killed the chances of this. boston is the only play tonight as they go for the sweep. 3 of 7 in the last 7 years have swept. the $$$ is building on st.louis tonight as boston is now +129. last night i bought into st.louis and only played the total thinking pedro would get shelled for 6 or 7. boston has defied all odds and has done something no other team in history has done beating the yankees i think it would be fitting for them to win 8 straight and break another record tonight.

.stats.
boston 12-4 last 16 away games.
boston 5-0 su last 5 games when scoring between 4 to 6 runs.

st.louis is 1-4 su in their last 5 games after scoring 1 to 3 runs.

wow......i cant believe someone just said that st louis is just offense.......Scott Rolen is the best defensive 3rd baseman in the league....Renteria is solid at short, Matheny is one of the best behind the plate, and that is not mentioning that Jim Edmonds is one of the best defensive center fielders of this time.

St Louis is a well oiled machine that is down 3-0 to a team that is on a huge roll. Boston might end it tonight, who knows, but it isnt because St Louis is not a great team....they are.

FULL MOON TONITE--Who's The Daddy Now ?

FULL MOON TONITE--Who's The Daddy Now ?

What you say is oh sooo true about The Red Sox...i did The same last nite and scalped some of my Red Sox Series bet.

It's the old story, somebody left the door open for them and now they are not leaving.

Why not a sweep. Cardinals looked like amatuers last nite. How fast people forget that The Sox swept the Angels and played in that pressure cooker Yankee Stadium and took the last two in Yankee Stadium and made history in that joint.

Derek Lowe pitched an amazing game 7 at Yankee Stadium, 6 innings---1 hit---1 walk---3 strikeouts.......ON TWO DAYS REST :scared

And now they are turning him loose in Anheuser-Busch Stadium.. :142lmao:

Him and Pedro may be Cardinals next year !

Go Red Soxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Good Luck EVERYONE---

Marquis (0-0, 6.48 ERA). The right-hander gave up three runs and four hits in 3 1-3 innings on Oct. 7 against the Dodgers in the division series, and then allowed three runs and five hits in four innings on Oct. 17 against Houston. Marquis is 0-1 with a 2.70 ERA in four appearances, including two starts, in his career against Boston. He last faced the Red Sox on June 30, 2002, while pitching for Atlanta and allowed two earned runs and four hits in 6 2-3 innings of the Braves' 7-3 win.

 YEP......they've had it since trading Garciaparra... ESPN said The Sox were 53-21 since that trade....

I've seen these guys come into Yankee Stadium with ice in their vanes...once you have witnessed that, the rest falls into place.

Momentum ..the mother of handicapping !

Good Going Cooler
