Tennessee Pk (4 units).....Tennessee owns South Carolina historically, 18-2-2 lifetime vs the Gamecocks, and haven't lost to them since 1992. (Coach Fulmer is 11-0 vs SC.) Ainge has made some rookie mistakes, and that pick 6 vs Ole Miss was one of the worst I've ever seen, but Tennessee is still winning games, and in the long run Ainge still manages a good game and keeps them in games. South Carolina's big problem is turnovers, and while they can get away with coughing up the ball five times vs Kentucky and still winning, they won't beat the Vols with such sloppy play. Expect a low scoring game, and South Carolina should stay in for a while, but the overall talent of the Tennessee defense will win out in the end. People have been knocking the Vols for not covering the past two weeks, but they've still been winnings, and that's all they have to do this week to pay out.
Oregon State -7 (3 units).....been on this train for two weeks in a row and will keep riding them as long as they stay hot. What I like most about this team is that they don't have a single bad loss, sure they got blow out by Cal, but they have not lost to any teams that they should have beaten. And now that they are into their conference schedule they have hit their stride. The offense has come alive, and more importantly does not make a lot of mistakes. Arizona's defense continues to play hard, but their offense gives them no room for error. I'm sure Stoops will start to turn this team around eventually, but based on their six straight losses it might not happen this year. He's building for the future, and with this offense it looks like he's willing to take a few steps back in order to take many steps forward in the future. While they are getting the younger guys playing time and game experience, I think it's time to make some money off them.
West Virginia -14 -125 (2 units)...WV need to keep making statements and bumping there chest that they are heads and shoulders above the rest of the Big East. Don't know if we'll see they 80-7 or the 40-0 games we've seen recently when these two have met but I do expect the Mountaineers to put up a lot of points.
Mizzou -2.5 (1 unit)...just a gut play, take it for what it's worth. Mizzou can't afford another loss or they'll be playing in the toilet bowl and the Nebraska defence just isn't the Blackshirts we are used to.
