N'Western (+12) over Purdue
This is the 3rd tough game in a row for the boilermakers. Looking at Purdue's road record they are 3-0 but 2 of the games were very close against PSU and Illni. The They blew out the Irish but a few key huge plays meant the scoring difference in that game. I'm not sold on Purdue being a good road team. I am sold that N'western is a solid home team (4-1) only loss against Az St. Wins against Ohio St, Indiana and Kansas. The defense is getting healthier and IMO N'Western keeps it within 10. N'Western has to get to Orton and hit him, test out that injury he suffered last week.

Auburn (-17.5) over Ol Miss
The tigers are the real deal. They haven't taken a week off yet playing hard game in and out and IMO they continue that this week. Old Miss is getting better week by week and showed last week they were good enough to give Tenn a run. Still I think the defense pressure will be too much for the rotating QB's and the run game will over power the rebs defense. The tiger offense if given the opportunity the Vols had (3 turn-overs, 4 sack 89 total rushing yards) might have a shut out in the making. Georgia on the doorstep for Auburn is the only scary aspect.

Kansas (-4) over Iowa St
big play
Both teams 3-4, playing at Iowa St. Kansas 0-3 on the road!! Iowa St's W's are from a heart attack at Baylor (by 1 and forced 4 turn-overs!),Northern Iowa and Northern Ill. Kansas has a very underrated defense. Jayhawks were trailing Oklahoma 14-10 at the half. Kansas has had a chance to win all three road games losing @ Oklahoma (OK till the 3rd then depth took over), N'Western and Nebraska. The Iowa St Defense is just out right awful, they give up the most yards in the big 12. Kansas has a bit of a QB controversy but regardless the one in the game should be productive against the ISU defense. The Cyclones like to pass the ball deep so does Texas Tech and the Jayhawks held them to 31 points.

Irish, like the plays. Am a little leery of the Purdue play, but will probably go with them when I put my plays in.

I like Illinois getting 11.5 from Iowa at home
Wake -17.5 versus Duke
and Cuse -2 vs. UCONN

What do you think?

Against Minny Illini looked just bad. They are playing their back-up QB and he is not getting it done. Iowa's defense might keep them to a low number again.

I like anyone playing Duke just because they are terrible. Especially when they are home. No play for me because WF gets up early they will quit, Duke really never quits and always nervous of a last min drive resulting in a backdoor loss for WF backers.

UConn and Cuse???? these teams are as inconsistent as my golf game. Will the Cuse team that played WVU show up or the one that played FSU? UConn is a very good passing team and WVU was able to pass on Cuse easily. Still I like the Orange at home a little more than the huskies. But a no play for me because Cuse is too unpredictable.

Hope the insight helps.
SM likes FLA, Mizzou, TT, Ol Miss, UNC, Kent and Illni.he was hot last weekend. But you know how quickly that can change! We both like the Ravens against your boys in NFL.

Trouble!!!!

WACO, Texas (AP) -- Baylor quarterback Dane King will miss the rest of the season after breaking his right hand in the Bears' loss to Iowa State, coach Guy Morriss said Wednesday

Shawn Bell should get the start, he hasn't seen a lot of action but has played a few snaps in almost every game.

West Virginia (-15) over Rutgers

Rutgers rushing offense is ranked 112th nationally BUT lead the league in passing (290.6 yards per game). Pac-Man Jones will cover Rutgers main pass catching weapon Tres Moses. Pitt had success in coverage intercepting Hart and IMO WVU can pick him off a couple of times. As much as the stats don't show Rutgers RUNS on almost every first down.

Rutgers is ranked 107th in pass defense (270.6). Aside from that the defense has suffered many injuries of late (Bryan Durango, Dondre Asberry Eddie Grimes and Manny Collins)! Syracuse Reyes had 237 yards and 2 touchdowns3 Mountaineers -- Harris (102.7 ypg.), Colson (74.1 ypg.) and Marshall (60.9) -- are ranked in the Big East's top 10 rushers. This should prove deadly Saturday because a WEAK secondary will be forced into one on one coverage so other players can help stop the run. IMO Henry should have a big day (IF HE CAN CATCH THE BALL).

West Virginia owns the second-ranked scoring (16.1 ppg.) and total (315.6 ypg.) defense in the Big East. Rutgers averages 2.6 yards per carry, leaving them 2nd and 7 or 3rd and 5 on a lot of dives. The WVU defense has to take advantage of forced pass situations. Rutgers at home plays very well, but the talent of WVU should take over. I expect WVU'd defense to create turnovers since Rutgers cannot run and will be forced to throw. Marshall has to make throws (not everyone, but the big throws). They cannot give Rutgers any hope.

Cal (-15) over Arizona St
These teams have the same type of game plan. Over the course of the season both teams have had 252 rushing attempts (Cal in 6 games Ariz St in 7) the difference is Cal 140 more yards per game and 3 more yards per carry. MEANING CAL has an very effective running game. Also Cal completes about 75% while Ariz St completes only 55% of their passes. Cal leads the nation with 508.3 yards per game. ASU defense has been scorched , by USC and UCLA, as it has allowed 87 points and 981 yards.

The key for this game is Cal's defense containing ASU passing attack. The Cal defense was able to hold USC to 23 points and Oregon St to only 7.

The common opponent
ASU
Oregon State Won 27-14
@Southern California Lost 7-45
UCLA Won 48-42

CAL
@Oregon State Won 49-7
@Southern California Lost 17-23
UCLA Won 45-28

IMO Cal has a better offense (Very balanced and can beat you running or passing) and stronger defense! The D-line of cal should be FAST enough to get into the backfield and force Walter to throw before he wants to. A lot of the ASU route take a long time to develope and Cal can create pressure which should lead to turn-overs. At home the Bears should be fired up and focused for this team!

Boise/ Hawaii UNDER (73.5)

:SIB The defense has to force a few 3 and outs. IMO the offense will have some sustained drives. 73 is a big number but after all UTEP did hang 51 on the warriors.

Oregon St has been playing well of late and Arizona although tough at home doesn't have the ability to make Oregon st's QB throw into coverage. The O-line of Oregon St should be able to give the qb time. Also Oregon st has been trying different things with the running game and that has shown promise. You take all the things starting to click for the beavers on offense and you put them against a poor defense. Stoops has these boys playing above their potential and they still just can't get it done. Not too mention IMO the wildcats do not have the ability to cover the beaver WR or TE's.
Also defensively the beavers has a strong cover conner that should be man on man tomorrow leaving the LB's free to help create pressure. Not that they need it because the o-line of Arizona has not been impressive. Stoops will take that program somewhere but he doesn't have the players in the positions he needs. Hope the info helps

Tenn (+1) over SC
This is a Tenn team that has a good shot at a serious bowl game. Yes they struggled against Ol Miss and their coach makes some bad mistakes, but they have the edge in talent (IMO). The Vols even with rotating QB's have a solid passing same, they have a good running game and a very strong o-line. Defensively the vols are good up front and at LB they have weakness in the secondary. Still with the first 2 QB's on SC hurting I'm seeing an edge speed wise for the Vols defense. It will be very loud in SC and the players will be pumped but the scripted 10-15 plays Fulmer will have should be successful. Fulmer gets in trouble making dumb calls at important times in the game. IMO the Vols come out fired up and execute their game plan. If the vols come out and execute the cocks will lose some momentum. What the Vol's can't do is come out flat, something I don't think will be a problem after almost getting snake bit at ol miss.
