This horse is an UNBELIEVABLE 12-1 Morning Line. :scared

His name Artie Schiller--3 year old colt.

Let me get started here:
Now don't get carried away here, he faces some of his most dangerous rivals since being beaten by "Kittens Joy". Kittens Joy is a freak. The only horse to ever beat "Kittens Joy" on the grass was
"PRINCE ARCH" by a head. Prince Arch was later defeated by Kittens Joy and Artie Schiller who also whiffed Prince Arch by 4 3/4 lengths in the same race ( The Virginia Derby).

Kittens Joy, Prince Arch, Artie Schiller, Blackdoun are some of wildest 3 year old to come along on the grass, they are alll just plain great. Kittens Joy by the way destroyed Man 'O War Stakes winner Magistretti ( 4 year old ) by 2 1/2 lengths yielding course on Oct. 02, 2004. You should Note Kittens Joy destroyed the 1 1/4 mile Track Record at Arlington Park in The G1 Secretariat Stakes ran the same day as "The Arlinton Million " at a mile and a quarter.

" Six Perfections" was a 3 year old freak fillie, who won this race last year and is shipping in from France..she is 0 for 3 this year.

BlackDown is being supplemented for this race @ 9 %. and has won 3 in a row since coming from Europe. His morning line is 20-1. :scared

ANYWAY: GETTING BACK TO ARTIE SCHILLER

He comes off the pace and if he gets a good ride, i don't care who is front of him...i expect him to run them down.
He did clock a nice mile as a 2 year old in 134.00 flat. He is 7/9 lifetime with 2 places on the grass.

Well anyway after being beaten by Kittens Joy in The Virgina Derby:
Artie Schiller has won The grade II- 1 1/8 mile HallO'Fame on August 9th,2004 by 4 1/4 lengths coming off a stalking pace in 147 3/5..one tick off the track record.

He returned on September 26th at Belmont in the 1 1/8 mile Grade II Jamaica Handicap at Belmont Park to win again off a stalking pace by 5 1/4 lengths carrying 123 lbs. Busting the track record by 3/5 seconds in a staggering 145 2/5 after going the 6 furlongs in 1:11 3/5 which means these boys were running on Jet Engines for the last 3 furlongs of that race , Artie Schiller came home in a 33 4/5. His last fulong was 11 2/5.

He has had a nice 5 furlong work -out at Lone Star Track in 59 4/5 B.

Are we ready to cash this ticket?--not just yet!
BE AWARE that Turf Courses do vary around the country. Some may even be bald courses. New York tries to keep them in shape --they take a lot of races of the grass with the rains, but at times you can still see dust clouds on New York courses.

Short Review:
Horses being supplemented at big money:
Blackdoun, Mr. O'Brien

1st or back on LASIX:
Antonius Pius, Whipper

Fillies in the race:
Musical Chimes, Six Perfections ( last years winner)

The Bet:
Artie Schiller 20 across
$2 exacta box Artie Schiller, Singletary, Nothing to Lose

Good Luck--Have Fun-- Don't get carried away..these are the best horses in the world.

Silver Tree drew a good post and will be ignored. He belongs with these and you don't see Bill Mott pay 40 bucks on the turf very often.

Great point Dogfish about age factors...But we are now late in the year when 3 year olds are maturing.

Look at " Six Perfections " --she was a 3 year old fillie who won this Breeders Cup Mile last year at Santa Anita.

These are real good horses and if he gets out early stalking..he has a nice shot. And what we do know is he can carry that weight and has shown the ability to step up in class.

These horses are all very good...so I'm going to cross my fingers and hope for racing luck.

ONE WORD OF CAUTION..His regular Jockey Richard Migliore was hurt pretty bad at Aqueduct on Thursday in the gate and taken away in an ambulance. His status is still up in the air !
