The "smugness" stems from your blithe feelings about thousands of people losing nice paying jobs in this country, so they can be shipped over seas for pennies on the dollar, and how that will shake out to be a boon for the country.

Sounds grate until you face the fact that "Joe Lunch-box" could afford that item when he was working at the "factory" for a decent wage. Now, the item is made for a lot less over seas, and shipped back here to be sold at a slightly lower cost than before. (Hey, we don't want to hurt the corporate bottom line!) Sounds real nice, but now "Lunch-box" can't afford it anyway, so it goes unsold in this country, or purchased by the 15% who can buy it.

No, this outsourcing is not so good.

I am guessing if it was feasible to go to Indonesia to get a cavity filled for $1.99, you would sing a different tune.

you will end it on false pretense...what a class act...

i detailed how i realized how Americans face hardship when losing their jobs....you insinuate other things, but i also have faith in the American worker that he is able to be innovative, self-reliant, overcome adversity, adapt, and produce in changing marketplaces....

I put faith in the American worker....you do not....if anything, you are "smug"

if someone takes my job and does it better for cheaper...all the power to him.... i will do as mentioned after picking myself off the ground and having my own little pity party about it....have done this before and will do it again....i don't need to feel any more victimized and certainly don't need the government to interfere in my plight

greatest part of Kerry's Speech

"But in an American election, there are no losers, because whether or not our candidates are successful, the next morning we all wake up as Americans. And that -- that is the greatest privilege and the most remarkable good fortune that can come to us on earth. "

So Cal
Clem - thanks for the positive words. If I ever said anything rude to you I take it back. You have the spirit - I hope I could have done the same if it was the other way around. You are a good man.
