OK, here's the deal....
Looks like someone is trying to screw me. I had to file some back taxes - 3 years of returns to be exact. Looks like I might be getting a few late fees (penalties) from the IRS but I have mainly refunds due, due to the fact I have been spending outrageous amounts on grad school.
Anyway, I opted to have an individual do these returns for me rather than going to H&R block or somewhere else where it would cost me a fortune. We had an oral agreement for the services to be $150 for 3 yrs of returns. I get an email from him saying he wants $240 now because he had to do extra work??? What extra work look up the laws for student tuition write offs, that's part of the job buddy. Come on shouldn't this guy be honoring the $150 original oral agreement? What should I do?
