I hear a lot of people prognosticating that the candidates in 08 will be Guiliani and Hillary Clinton. I might buy Guiliani, but I think the Democrats must realize they can't run another lefty and expect to win. Who can u think of that might run that is more of a moderate/conservative/possibly "southern Democrat"??

Lieberman might not be too bad, but he'll never get elected because he is Jewish.

Opinions??

i would think those 2 would be fit for now, but im still not sure about hillary. she did beat Rudy though in the Senate seat for NY. Lieberman possible, Edwards probably a bit bigger though.

Hillary did NOT beat out Guiliani for the senate seat in NY. Guiliani had to step down because of prostate cancer. Guiliani would have beat Hillary.

IMO, the Republicans should have John MCain and Rudy Guiliani on their ticket next term. The economy should be booming so it should be an easy victory for the Republicans.

BTW, SixFive is correct in that Hillary is way to far to the left to be elected. Plus there are a lot of people who can't stand her and I am one of them. My worst nightmare is Hillary as the Prez.

Hilliary trying to act like she's moving towards center but don't believe anyone is biting.I will be glad when final exit polls released to check figures but with 40% of population conservative and 20% liberal they alienated their moderate dem base with this years ticket--but looking at their initial candidates Liberman was their only moderate in the mix. To win they will have to get rid of flame throwers like M Moore-Moveon.org ect or find way to get more of their minority block out to vote.

thanks for the info scott, i thought he still was running when he was even sick. would of been a close race. she may run for senate again and wait until 2012, but do you guys think Rudy would give it another shot at the Senate seat again in NY??? A Clinton hasn't lost to a GOP member since 1980.
