Since there is nothing else to talk about, I was wondering what you guys thought of the lockout and who you side with. IMO I know this is partially the owner's fault for the escalation of the players salaries, but I'm in favor of a cap. I know it makes sports like the NFL a lot more entertaining, and anything that helps the NHL I'd be in favor of. I have a hard time sympathizing with players who won't take a pay cut, but are more than willing to go to Europe and play for "pennies" compared to their salaries in the NHL. To me those players are all hypocrits, and even though I am a huge fan of the game part of me wants this to last a while so the players really feel the effects. The average salary from a cap would not drop much and would really effect the top echelon of players more than the little guys. It's funny how the leaders of the player's association are all the guys who make the big bucks and could give two chits about the little guys in the NHL. The whole situation makes me sick, and even as a true NHL fan I'm getting to the point that I am starting to not care. This sport was already in trouble who knows what this will do.
I'm interested in what other big hockey fans feel about the situation, since all I ever read are reports by media with agendas.
Anyone?
Or following my own reasoning, I guess I could play Paul +350 and McCants +500 and as long as one of them wins I'll profit.
