I mean, I'm really trying with them. The last few years I have been their biggest supporter but they are slowly creeping downhill. Now they are banning same game football parlays if the line is over 9.5. In their pandering, condescending email, she told me they were getting killed on correlated parlays. Yeah right, I'm sure you guys are really getting killed. What horseshit. :cursin:

not sure why everyone thinks this is a great book. other than reduced juice, the book is way overrated. very impersonal customer service and email response. its like they print out 'stock responses' and then plug the 'dear pinnacle client' header on it.

its pretty damn funny that theyre trying to spin shit about getting killed on same game parlays. no book will ever turn their back on booking a parlay.

I was in the midst of joining Pinnacle but couldn't find info on sweetheart teasers (totals) so I e-mailed them. While waiting for their response (still haven't heard) :bs: I decided to just re-up with a better bonus and paid fees at one of my current books :D

with pinnacle:

you will get paid for sure

you will get reduced juice

in the long run, playing -105 instead of -110 will make you money

pure and simple

their customer service is adequate, who cares if it is impersonal? what is impersonal are books charging you -110 for everything. some people simply don't get it.

I would have to second the motion with Bombs here.. Pinny is just meat and potatoes..No flashy website..no weirdo bonuses..no referals.. Just good lines and in the long run it makes a huge diff. ..I do play lots of ponies and get that 7% win or lose so my opinion could be skewed but I still would rather have less bells and whistles with this book and just the important stuff... ie: Less juicescky...(new word=juicesky=-105 :)

To address the original issue bout side- total parlay banning on fav's over 9.5...guess I haven't found a play recently that fit that for me.but if I did and they didn't want to take it that would suck but like someone said earlier having multiple books is surely the ticket and also smart 4 sure.

Pinnacle is by far one of the best books out there. The most important thing is that you get paid and you won't have to worry about that with Pinnacle.

One of the reason's they can have the rduced vig is by keeping their operating costs lower.

Just cannot understand why people keep trying to put them down and try to display them in a negative way just because they don't have everything that "you" would like in a book. If they do not have a certain option, you should have a separate book(s) that do have them. No book can please everyone!

Reduced vig and rebate back on on the ponies..I don't think I would have a problem of having to put a parlay in at a different book if I had to rather than not keeping this book as one of my main outs.

Just my .02

still disagree with you guys. nothing wrong with seeing it the other way.

im not even a parlay player, but i still think its hilarious that pinnacle told acehistr8 that theyre 'getting killed on correlated plays'. thats like vegas nixing the double-down option in blackjack. pretty lame excuse on their end.

personally, i dont like 'em. but not exactly bashing them

i just dont get it

you play the game at betjamaica at -110

you play the same game at pinny at -105

now, once more, why would you play it at betjamaica?

bombs:

obviously youre a sharp guy. you know your stuff. as you know, pinnacle doesnt always just deal straight -105 on games. its not that cut and dry.

im not telling you anything you dont already know, but when others deal a 5.5 with the favorite being a flat -110, theyll deal a -4.5 with the favorite being -120something. same with the totals. others will deal over/under 56.5 at -110 both ways, theyll deal under 58 at -130. i dont want to play under 58 and pay out the ass. id rather play under 56.5 and lay the flat -110.

its not like theyre dealing -105 on all games with the same lines as anywhere else.

as for betjamaica, i am very impressed with their customer service. any problem i have ever had was quickly resolved and ive had success there; thus, i have no reason not to give em my business.

gman2....it is certainly nice to have great customer service, but are you trying to say that any problem or problems that you may have had at Pinnacle were not quickly resolved?? That's what it sounds like you're implying.

The customer service is more than adequate if any problem happens to arise and that's all that it should really be needed for in my opinion. They are as trustworthy as you can get and more times than not you do benefit from the vig although like you said, you don't always get the better line...but you do a lot of the times and that's what makes this book a nice book to use

ndfan:

for some reason, this has turned into betjamaica vs. pinnacle and it shouldnt be that way. both books are highly reputable.

i almost look at pinnacle as an 'exotic book'. theres times when you will get the same line as you would find somewhere else, but pinnacle will offer it at even money. thats a great thing. then theres other times when youre willing to lay a 1/2 pt or full point more to get the even odds.

as you certainly know, they move their lines and shade their juice seemingly every minute, on the minute.

their lines are very volatile.

my whole point: when someone asks for the best book out there, i dont think its pinnacle. i think pinnacle is a great supplementary book, just not a book that should be someones lone out. i think everyone should keep a few bucks in there because lines can be favorable at times. but its a tough book to beat if thats your only out.

gman...I totally agree with on a lot you said.

BetJamaica is a great book...never said they weren't.

Pinnacle is a sharp book..yes

My previous post was meant to comment on the customer service....never heard of a problem that wasn't solved quickly with pinnacle....that was all. And that is what is most important to me at least with the customer service of a book.

enough from me on this.

Good luck on Sunday :)

First of all, I never bashed Pinnacle or tried to put them down. You can check my posts on them over the last 3 years, I always recommend them as one of the top books out there. Having a strike against them doesnt mean much, since most books would have about 6 or 7 by my count.

Merely pointing out it is hilarious they think I will feel bad for them that they are getting killed on these parlays. To me however, Pinnacle remains one of the best books for parlays because they 1 - dont cap the odds and 2 - dont cap their payouts. Look at a book like Infinity, claims to be the best for parlays, yet they cap both the odds and the payouts they will give you. Total crap.

Still a thumbs up for Pinnacle in my book, just voicing some frustration.
