MARQUETTE (-11) 78 Illinois State 61
Marquette wasn?t too impressive in their season opening win last night, needing to come from behind to beat lowly Western Carolina 75-64 as an 18 point favorite. However, the Warriors are in a positive 64-29-3 ATS situation tonight, the same angle that provided an easy 3-Star win on New Mexico on Saturday. My ratings favor Marquette by 14 ? points (the line opened at 14), but the line value is tempered a bit by the Warriors? recent 0-10 ATS mark as a favorite of more than 9 points (9-20-1 ATS in 5 years under coach Crean). The general situation is actually more meaningful than the negative team trend, and Illinois State is just 4-12-2 ATS the last two seasons after a victory, so I?ll still favor Marquette to cover the number tonight ? I just won?t make them a Best Bet unless the line keeps going down.
Upgrade Marquette to a 2-Star Best Bet if they become a favorite of 10 points or less.

The Tuna is boiling and he's pissed off to the max. As Elvis would say, 'it's now or never' as far as Bill Parcells and the Cowboys are concerned. And rest assured when the Tuna is searing, his team responds. That's verified by the fact that in his NFL career he is 35-21-3 ATS when seeking division revenge, including 17-8-1 ATS in this role when he is taking points. Better yet, he's NEVER LOST THE MONEY in division revenge when entering off a spread loss of nine or more points, going 8-0 ATS. Hurt and humiliated, he
will be under the Monday Night lights this week against one of the phoniest 7-1 teams to ever come down the pike in Philadelphia. Like last year, the Eagles have won games this season while the other team has done most of the moving.
In other words, they are allowing more yards than they gain. Tonight they will have to overcome the dreaded 'bubble burst' that follows almost every team in the game immediately following an opening season streaking loss. New England evaded it with their win last week at St. Louis as these 'Fat Pigs' are now 24-40-1 ATS in games off their initial loss after starting the season 4-0 or better.
Dallas' sterling home dog log (18-6 ATS since 1990) cements it. So now you see why we like Sushi.
