Slow start...but on the plus side
YTD: 9-7 +13 Units
Wednesday:
Pepperdine (-9')...Westphal returns all 5 starters and looking for Acker, McGowan, Diawara, Lee and Grubb to dominate a young East Carolina squad without 6' 10" Badiane in the middle (academic suspension) or 6'10 frosh Bronson (also academics)
don't see the Pirates hangin' around.
Oregon St (-3')...even though Beavers without Lucas...still like OSU's experience to shutdown Haddix.
Fairleigh Dickinson (+1')...actually waitin' for a total to be posted on this one...can easily see a 175-185 contest.
NC State (-18')...This may truly be a "Wolfpack" going against New Orleans' Head Coach, NC State Alum Monty Towe. Hodge, Evtimov, and frosh Simmons provide a real height advantage. And New Orleans withou Brown and McDade (academics) should be an easy start to the season.
Colorado (+11)...Michigan goes just 7 deep ( and they averaged 16+ minutes in a seven point win vs Binghamton Monday night. Relying too much on Harris (39 min), Abram (38 min) and Horton (34 min)...with those 3 shooting (11-34) from the field and 6 of 19 from the arc. The trio will be put to the test witha very balanced Colorado attack led Monday night by Freshman Richard Roby. Alot is expected from Tommy Amaker this year, but his "just go out and play" attitude that won the NIT last year won't last long this year in the Defense rules Big-10 conference.
