Wager Type: Straight Bet Selection 1: NFL Football Pittsburgh Steelers 21-November-2004 10:00 AM PST Spread -4 for Game -105 Risking 210.00 to Win 200.00 USD

Just like a lot of "experts" I thought the Buf/NE game last night was going to be close.....Bledsoe hadn't thrown a pick or been sacked in the past 2 games, they found a running game in McGahee, and have a top 5 defense, so they should be able to keep it close.........right??????............the Troy Brown interception was CLASSIC!!!!!! Quite a few lessons learned for me yesterday...........

Forget all this trend crap......all the trends in the world said to take cleveland againts Pitt yesterday....same thing w/TB against atlanta..............

well said....couldnt of said it better eternal....i completely agree and u can add dallas against philly to that list....these so called "experts" can wipe their asses with their silly trends....too many people trying to overthink, outthink and dig too deep....no need to.... u got a team that is on fire right now and is playing the best football in the league going against a shitbox club with no defense who knows theyre going no where...and laying a small #....but im sure we'll have all of our faithfull dog playing einsteins on here telling us how they know what vegas is trying to do and how theyll outsmart the books by taking points...lol..... i say enjoy it... as cincy joins the list and takes their rightfull thrashing by pitt....how about this trend? the trend that pitt has been rolling and kicking the shit out of everyone at any venue by double digits in 6 of their last 7 games(won by 4 at dallas)....thats my trend!! to me its that simple....i know cincy has played well at home this year but dont care....gonna have to show me....like my chances laying 4...pitt has covered that # 7 in a row....looking for #8....all the service geeks were all over dallas on mnf and the under....thats what their trends told them....hah!!....give me a fvckin break....keep it simple....match up the 2 teams and the answer is clear....pitt....pitt...pitt :)

I had been on the Steelers for 4 winners before jumping ship last week. Just thought it was the perfect trap scenario. I'm back on the bus now!

Everybody talks about Big Ben, and he is terrific, but their defensive schemes are what makes this team truly special. I'm very impressed with the black and gold.

I'm staking my perfect record in the NFL this year (3-0) on the home dog Bengals to easily win outright. I'm here in the Queen City and my Bengals are going to defeat the Steelers this Sunday. No question.

Bet the mortgage.

Eddie

Is that the same perfect record you put on the line when touting Cleveland as an outright winner over Pittsburgh last week, just wondering.

It's been well stated by others in this thread about the better team winning.

So ask yourself, is Cincy better than Pitt at this stage of the season? Of course not, laying a small number on Pitts. is like finding money. This line should be around 7-9 even in Cincy, and here's why:

Pitt has the #1 ground game in the NFL, rolling up over 1450 yds. Cincy's D is 3rd worst against the run, ahead of only Miami and N. Orleans. Pitt will have their way with the running game and the clock.

Pitt has the #1 defense against the run and Cincy's running game is middle of the pack. Can Cincy run well enough to sustain any multi-play drives that will result in a touchdown? I doubt it!

That leaves Palmer. He's only thrown 7 td passes this season and now he goes against the 5th best Pass Def. in the NFL. A defense that held McNabb to 109 yds (53 to Owens) and Garcia to 110 in the last 3 weeks.

Roethlisberger on the other hand has performed incredibly well for a rookie and has shown he will not lose the game foolishly with bad decisions or turnovers.

So, where are Cincy's points going to come from? I appears Pitt can run at will, pass when Cincy stacks the line, and control the clock to their advantage.........

I got on the bus three weeks ago and I'm still riding.....lay the small number and watch that bus roll!!!!!

I agree that Pittsburgh backers got a lucky cover there, HOWEVER the Steelers played by far and away their worst game of the year and still got the win and cover! So I will stand by my original position, there is no way to handicap that game and come up with Cincy, no way.

penguin- i agree, like i posted earlier in this thread, that if u match these 2 teams up the numbers all pointed to pitt....my comment about cincy backers being on the right side was because of the flow of the game in the 4th qtr....just looked as though pitt was going to stop cincy deep in cincy territory, get the punt and sit on the ball and kill the clock after getting a 1st down....thought it would end 17-14 pitt....im not complaining....bout time i get a lucky cover.....congrats to us...le
