I have my huge bet on Michigan so I took Wisconsin for a small play earlier in the week. If I win my UM bet I might consider putting all my winnings on Wiscy or some portion of it. I am glad both games do not start at the same time. Here is why I like Wiscy over Iowa.

Iowa beat Minnesota with 6 yards net rushing last week, giving up 337 yards. In fact Iowa is #115 in nation in rushing offense, 99th in total offense, and 75th in scoring offense. Moreover they lost their fifth string tailback last week and are looking at one of their d-backs to play tailback this week.

Wisconsin had one of those days last week and Barry Alvarez was his classy self and offered no excuses, but simply said we will let the results next week in Iowa city speak for themselves. Iowa has won 17 straight games @ kinnick stadium, but they will lose Sat.

There is something very strange when an away dog of +3, is only a +120 ml play at some books vs +135 at others when the line is still +3(Wisconsin), conversely Iowa on the ml ranges from -155 to -145 with a -3. I have followed this all week and will decide on Sat. to play Wiscy more or not. I'll post if I play Wiscy more to be on record.

I took Wiscy +3.5 -120 and ML +130 for small plays so far. A good teaser would be Wiscy +10 AND Michigan +1.5.

Call it my BIG 10 TEASER GOY! :142lmao:

On paper there is no doubt that Wisky is the better team, hell Iowa is down to their 5th team RB, but I am a little gun shy of going aginst Iowa's home winning streak. Also, what will be the Badgers mindset for this game? They just got their ass handed to them against MSU and saw all their hard work go down the tubes as far as reaching a BCS game. I do agree with you the Wisc is the better team!

Wisky needs Stocco and the defense to bounce back after disappointing performances last week. If they are able to, you should be able to cash.

I have made good profit this year and last betting on Iowa at home. Will continue to do so this week.
Wisconsin is overrated. Take a closer look at their road performance. Squeaked out a few games, then
Mich St. debacle. Iowa plays a lot better at home, great D, good coach. I guess one of us will win, but I couldn't take Wisky.
peace

FYI- It looks like Iowa's 5th string RB(Brownlee) will be healthy, and there is a chance 4th stringer Simmons may even see limited duty...I'm not saying either one has much effect on your bet but thought I would point it out.

I don't like the three either...it smells of a plea for wisky money :scared

Oh and by the way, Tate will have 300+ yards passing, the D plays stellar, and the Hawks get number 18 ;)

On Iowa and Go Hawks

What worries me the most is that Iowa will not run the ball--back on Tate's shoulders--one of these times he is not going to do it-I went to the Arz St game at Tempe and he was terrible-I know that was early in the year but they could not run and faced a 1st class def like Wisky-I see Wisky covering as thjey will controlthe clock-might be the 1st team ot be able to run the ball vs. the Hawks But Go Hawks

I love Iowa here. I think you're going to see a classic collapse out of the Badgers. They rolled over in Spartan Stadium and will do so again this week in Iowa.

I'm not sure Wisky "rolled over". Had 3 or 4 shots from the 1 1/2 yard line to tie the score at the end of the first half which would have made it 21-21.

Smith makes a great call with the onside kick to start the second half which Mich St recovered and it's game over.Additionally one of State's first half tds was a blocked punt for a td.

Yeah the defense laid there first egg of the year. The d coord is from Iowa and I think he gets the d to rise to the occasion. I do believe that Wisky can be passed on, so Tate could have a good day. The performance of the front four for Wisky will tell the story.

Good luck to all.

Agree that Brownlee is a definate go tommarow for the Hawkeyes, and I'm expecting Simmons(who, when healthy is the best RB on the team) to get 10-15 carries as well.

All week the word out of Iowa City is that Simmons has been looking good at practice. Ferentz said a few weeks back that Simmons would not play unless he could make his cuts without pain, and though they haven't said anything official, I have a hunch(and thats all it is...I'm not Scott4USC that has "friends" in the Athletic dept...LOL) that Simmons is ready to go tomarrow.

Hawks get number 18 in a row at home and hello Florida on New Years Day!

Will I see any of my fellow Hawk fans from this board there??

Joebell--

Yes, indeed, Kinnick an electric place at the end of that game yesterday!!

Did you stay for the awards ceremony? We did, and I think Kinnick was louder for that than it was during the game....Unreal how much fun that game was, huh?

Trying like crazy to work out a way to get to Orlando--assuming the powers that be take us...I'll be mighty P.O'd if they screw us out of that game....25,000 black and gold fans should convince them otherwise....

I'll let you know via e-mail if I'm going, and the first beer is on me if we meet up there....:D

P.S.---

13 carries for Simmons....Hummmm...maybe I DO have friends in the Athletic Dept...LMFAO!!
