Florida at FSU- We are going to fade historical trends, as well as the better defense, and recommend the Gators. They have not won here since 1986 (although they did tie 31-31 in 1994). Aware that the Noles are 10-2$ their last 12 home finales, and respect their 260ypg, 1.9ypr defense to a certain extent. Most saw the dominant performance of their D last week in their ugly, nationally televised win over NC St. However NC St. had 4 out of their top 6 offensive linemen out for the game and had another one playing injured. UF QB Leak rates the edge over anything the Noles saw in that last week, and also gives the Gators a huge edge over FSU's Rix/Sexton tandem. Teams that can throw the ball have enjoyed success against the Noles as both Miami's Berlin and North Carolina's Durant threw for well over 200 yards and 50% completion percentage. The Gates with Leak average 8.3 yppass and 275ypg through the air. UF is healthier than they have been in a month on defense, and welcome back stud LB Crowder. Have to wonder about an FSU offense that gained a putrid 121 yards of offense in last week's victory over NC St.
Although no extra incentive is needed in this rivalry, we think that the intangibles favor the Gators. They are 7-3-1 $ as an underdog under lame duck Zook, and the Gator players absolutely love their departing coach. They also remember the way they were jobbed by officiating in last year's game vs. the Noles when they lost on a last minute prayer from Rix to WR Sam. The teams fought on the field after the game, and the Gators have let their hatred simmer for one whole year. This team is beginning to mature and we like how they have handled business the last 2 weeks despite all the turmoil over the Zook situation. They had covered only once in 2 and a half seasons as an SEC favorite, but did so at Vandy despite 4 turnovers, and absolutely obliterated a decent South Carolina squad last week. The overall talent on this field is very close if not even, and you will not find an underdog that will play with more emotion this entire season. We think the double revenging Gators take this one to the wire, and have a good chance to send their beleaguered coach out with a win.

South Florida at Cincinnati- Two improving teams with bowl aspirations square off in Conf. USA. These two will be carrying their rivalry to the Big East with them next year. They also share the distinction of being the only 2 teams that have lost to Army in nearly 3 years. Since that Army loss, however, the Bearcats have won three straight revenge games against three of the conferences perennial powerhouses Memphis, TCU, and on the road against Southern Missisissippi. The defense is directly responsible for this turnaround as they have allowed only 14.7 points and 300 yards a game in those three games. They held the high powered Memphis offense to a two-season low 202 yards on this field, thoroughly dominated Southern Miss two weeks ago putting 52 points and 425 yards of passing on the proud Eagle defense. As a matter of fact, in four revenge wins against Miami(OH), Memphis, TCU, and Southern Miss, the Bearcats won the stats (by 100 or more in four of those contests)in each game, put up over 400 yards in each game, and rushed for over 240 yards in three of those games. All four of those teams would be favored over this South Florida club. In UC's loan other revenge game this season, they lost to 6-3 UAB despite dominating yardage 403-223. We'll lean to UC to get their get their 5th revenge win in QBGudugli's last home game. A couple of 60+% last home game systems onour side as well.

BYU at Utah- The undefeated Utes try to stay that way against the hated rival Cougars. Homefield meaningless as of late in this series, as the visitor has covered the spread 11 out of the last 12. BYU is as battle tested as they come, thanks to a brutal non-conference schedule. Thanks to last week?s slip-up at home against New Mexico, the Cougars now need this game to gain bowl eligibility, not that they would need any more incentive. We respect Utah headman Meyer, but we think the Cougars have the better defense here, and we think the linemaker has finally outdid himself trying to compensate for the weekly overflow of money that comes in on the Utes. This line was seven last year, and BYU has never been this big of a dog to the Utes. Cougars 10-0 ATS as dogs w/conference revenge, and they are the play.

Virginia at Georgia Tech- Virginia has to be down after controlling their own destiny. They have failed to step up both times despite claims by the media and their fans of top 10 status. The Techies are red-hot and are playing with revenge today while UVA off Miami with rival Hokies on deck. Cavs now 1-9 as ACC HF off SU loss and 1-9 ACC away off ACC game. Like home dogs with 300 yard defenses. Off a win and last home game to boot.
